Florian Wirtz

With the Ballon D'or holder next to him in midfield, the perhaps best striker on the planet in front of him and the most reputable manager in the world on bench, not to mention being able to pay amongst the highest salaries, us being attractive for elite players is the least of ours concerns.
The only thing that could change that short term is a bad 115 outcome, until then our decade of success means we will be seen as the top dogs in the worlds most attractive league, regardless if we have one bad season or not.
Agree….We have gotten to the point where the only club that has more drawing power than us is Real Madrid. Pep, Txiki and a host of others deserve a lot of credit for that.

Some people on here are talking like if City are a West Ham that just happened to win a few trophies. Even if we got relegated to the Championship in this 115 case we would probably have a bigger pull than half the teams in the PL since everyone in the world of football knows we would be back competing in the top of PL within 2 years. Even if we would miss CL we would still have a bigger pull than most of the teams in it. We are widely known as one of the absolute top clubs in the world. One bad season wont change that. Just as Real Madrid/Barcelona/Bayern/PSG/Liverpool wont lose their pull if they finish 4th in the league one season.

Wirtz will be joining RM , cast iron shoe in , only the cloud cuckoo inhabitants think otherwise

Oh that's how it works , the more posts the more knowledgeable you are , got it now . FYI ive been watching City since 1970 , Silva is finished full stop ( see yesterdays match ) when I see a bird that looks like a duck , walks like a duck and quacks like a duck , I call that bird a duck

He if off to Bayern. He burnt Koln to go to Leverkusen to further his career. He will do the same again.

Another German lad who sees Bayern as footballs northstar.

Its also Bayern policy to gut rivals who threaten them domestically. They did it do Dortmund the last time they had a team capable of threatening them over the longer term when took Hummels and Lewandowski. Sign Wirtz and Bayern restore their unrivalled dominance, as Alonso will likely go to Madrid to replace Carlco.

Hate agreeing with an Arsenal fan, but you're bang on.
I've been told, 'but it'll be different this time'.

No it wont. The only way it'll be different is if he follows Alonso to Real!

Or Chelsea pay £180m for him!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. It obvious that Pep rates him and would like to sign him. I believe that we are in discussions to try and get his services, but I just think that he will end up at bayern.

I just hope we dont end up in a situation where we find this transfer is unresolved until a few days before the summer window closes, leaving ourselves in a situation where we then dont sign anyone for this role.

Hope we can get wirtz or his agents to confirm early his intention, and if it isnt us we can then move on asap to get whoever else we have on the list

The club will already know his intention.
