Results of 1894's Fan Survey (Page 11) - 5,159 Supporters Took Part

I wouldn’t want to protest with anyone who’s only there because we’ve lost a few games. It’s opposed to be about stopping more Blues getting priced out.
I'm not suggesting that's the case with anyone, more that people were so blinded by the success they didn't see that we're getting completely taken advantage of off the field.

You can go back to that thread and see how negatively received the protest suggestion was, and that was only a year ago. Everything we want to protest about now was already happening then, the only thing that's changed is the results on the field.

I’m all for a protest that sends a message to our board and gives the lads more enthusiastic support on the pitch, like the inflatables / bananas suggested by the ghost.

On a wider point not directly linked to your post. One thing that’s changed from a year ago is the political climate. Virtually none of us like the half and half scarfs and fans wearing other clubs colours in our stands, but there is a wider obsession with “tourists” that seems a bit over the top IMHO and we’re getting a small minority of Blues / neutrals attacked by our own fans in cases of mistaken identity. That was mentioned In the City Matters notes and nobody, so far, has argued against it. I’ve mentioned this because there were horrible messages for Rico Lewis on social media over the weekend. He might not be good enough for us but that’s another debate.

That’s why it was great to see in the 1894 video an international fan calling for affordable tickets for local Blues.

A period of 'creative militancy' could ultimately be good for all parties -:

Fans will 'exercise their valid demons'

The club will recognise 'construcive fan power'

Restructured ticket policy.

A wider fan base & attendance 'churn'

Increased attendance at cat B % C games.

Improved atmosphere.

A win for everyone !!

True more creativity. The use of the MURN has worked to an extent but it’s bothering term solution. City’s heathy have been used to getting battered by the national press for a decade or more

I have just done it, my main concern is away fans in home sections and 1 game it could be hundreds let say liverpool needs 1 point to win league last game of season and they buy all these tickets on the selling sites it would be carnage

Hurry up with the survey then.
Only launched Friday night! Please have some patience! Not everyone has social media and a lot of the osc branches have advertised on their branch pages or in their whatsapp groups so we want to give people a couple of extra days to participate- results Wednesday and we discuss with citymatters Thursday including the season card rep

You sure she will be available and not on holiday / decorating / washing the car / shopping / jet washing the patio / etc

The response to the survey has been huge. Easily the biggest response we (1894) have had in in such a short space of time.

We will release the data later this week.

For anyone who hasn't had the chance to fill it in yet, please click this link to do so: https://bit.ly/1894Survey
Well done chaps, always do a fantastic job sticking up for supporters

Who is this season card rep? Do they actually do anything for season card holders? I've not received one email from this person about my thoughts on season ticket prices or how I feel my 'match day experience' is these days.

Not hard to email all season card holders and ask for their opinion on matters and return this to the club, after all they will have all of our emails addresses.

Keep up the good work and apologies if this has been answered before.

Well done 1894. I think we need to pressure citeh to be transparent about away tiks. What's the breakdown of loyalty points eg 32k plus = this many, 31k plus = this many etc. 700 tiks left for Bournemouth fa cup game @30000 points.. so where have the other 1300 gone? Have we really got so many point holders above 30k

That's exactly what Spurs do, so no reason why we couldn't do something similar.

I think the unfortunate truth is that if the club released these figures, it would immediately expose the fact that they're fucking us over

A shame you didn't use this opportunity to help a section of fans that appear to have no voice, that's to say disabled or limited ability fans one that, unfortunately, continues to go unheard.

I, like many others, use Entrance H and rely on the lift to reach Level 3. For years, this lift has been unreliable, frequently breaking down or operating with severe restrictions, limiting capacity to just 6–8 people at a time. When the club finally decided to refurbish it, you might think this was great news—except they chose to do so during the season, rather than in the closed season when disruption would have been minimal.

As a result, all lift users had to go to an alternative entrance with a smaller lift, leading to long queues and frustrating delays. Now, with the refurbishment complete, we’ve simply swapped one problem for another. The new lift is much slower than the old one, increasing wait times, and—just as it was reopened—other lifts were taken out of service for refurbishment, causing yet more queue congestion.

Adding to the chaos is the way queuing is managed. Stewards split the queue into two—one for general access to Level 1 and the other for those who need the lift—but both queues merge again at the lift entrance. This not only causes confusion but also allows queue-jumping, further worsening an already frustrating situation.

I have attempted to raise these concerns multiple times:
  • I have contacted the Disability Fans Rep—no improvement.
  • I have reached out to the club’s disability team—several times over the years, with no change.
  • I have spoken with stewards and staff at Entrance H—again, no action has been taken.
It’s disheartening to see that accessibility remains such a low priority. Disabled fans should not have to struggle just to enter the stadium. This is a basic issue of fairness and inclusion.

This is an issue I am very well aware of and have been discussing regularly with the club. I use the same entrance and lift myself, so know exactly what you are talking about. It's an issue which has been raised regularly at meetings of the Disabled Supporters Association too. What we were told by the club is that the lifts could only be replaced one at a time and that meant that they started the work in the summer but had to continue into the first half of the season. I am still baffled as to what was stopping them doing more than one at a time during the summer but that was the only explanation we got. All the lifts have now been replaced and, apart from one or two initial problems, appear to be working fine now. You're right that they seem a bit slower but I think that's still better than having them constantly breaking down. As for the stewarding and queue management at H, I have been discussing that too and the Access Team have been at the entrance themselves to monitor how the changes have been working. There are definitely still issues with people hanging around the inside of the entrance and getting in the way of people trying to get to the lift. The Access Team have reported this to those who manage the stewards and it will hopefully get better now. It's an ongoing process which we are working hard on, to get improvements. I don't know if you are a member of the Disabled Supporters Association but, if not, please feel free to join. It's free to join. Just email manchestercitydsa@gmail.com
You can contact me via that address too or at my City Matters address: howard.cohen@citymatters.co.uk

In the meantime, thanks for posting and please rest assured that I am doing my best to help all disabled fans and to press the club to make all the improvements we need.
