Not surprised at all. Should have gone at the end of last season after the tactical disaster against Arsenal when the league was thrown away. Theres been a steady decline in standards for some time and the football recently has been slow and predictable, insistence on keeping the ball and passing back far too much. Criminal with the outstanding quality of attacking players at the managers disposal. We should be ripping into opponents and creating fear and havoc instead we've become placid and teams now they can soak up pressure and counter attack swiftly and we're wide open at the back. I think the men's teams are finding this out too, so this 'city way' needs a rethink.
However I suspect the main issue with Taylor is his poor relationships with the players, there have been a few examples of breakdowns resulting in quite of few being forced out of the club. Reading Stephs book I get the impression she is not his biggest fan!
Cushing coming in could be a master stroke because I think an uplift in moral could reap rewards as we have the ability to beat Chelsea in the next four games. Certainly I have a sneaky feeling that the ceo and the well respected technical director of football at the club have a plan up their sleeves for next season, whether that's with Cushing back up by Steph and Izzy or maybe some top lady coach remains to be seen.
Onwards and upwards!!
