Good video! Very interesting stuff.
Clearly the guy has done well; he succeeded in losing a lot of weight, very quickly. No criticism from me.
However, I think there is a question to raise about the method he used, and how healthy it is. Throughout the video, the issue of rest is raised. Unless he's being disingenuous in the vid, he appears to have just not rested over the 100 days. Why? And why did he not completely burn out?
He also says at one point, "A lot of the days, I didn't eat - just so I could see some progress." Is that progress?
As I say, the guy has done well - but I think it's pretty clear that he will have burnt a lot of muscle which isn't the healthiest of approaches!
This is what's fascinating about the video. It holds lots of self reflection and it doesn't dodge his mental state at the time.
The "rest" issue is indicative of the state of mind and that he ignores the concern. I understand a little of that as when I went through a period of intermittent fasting it became an obsession resulting in me losing lots of muscle because of a lack of control in focus in the similar way you point out. And when the mind becomes obsessed, a lack of eating and 'burnout' becomes a state of mind to overcome... like his example of Goggins.
I agree, he's done superb, but obsession is a line that's easy to cross.
