In my accountancy days a million years ago, we had a client who made a lot of money by importing overripe oranges from Spain and selling them to Robertsons, who I think were in Droylsden, for marmalade. It was so lucrative that the two partners treated themselves to new Rolls-Royces every year.

They were hard as nails. If I stepped on one I would melt its legs to the base. They just played on - even better with their new low centre of gravity. Not as great in the air though to be fair.

Used to love Subbuteo as a kid with my brother. Every September a new league of roughly 12 teams which never included the Rags.
My all conquering City side (I’m older than my brother). Frank Carrodus got a brace once as a sub.
