PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Haalands contract extension tells me that we are golden . Before he joined us, his team went through an exhaustive points tally procedure to determine the best team for him to go to and it was City. No way do they advise him to sign the contract extension that he has done, if there is the smallest chance we are in a lower league than the Prem for any time, or there is any transfer bans etc that would impact his career and their ability to make money for themselves off the back of his earning potential.
That's what I'm dwelling on. The Haaland contract. I don't see all parties; the club, Alfie, and the player himself, agreeing to such a deal if there wasn't full confidence in our exoneration.

I truly believe we'll be fine. We may be guilty of a few of the petty, inconsequential charges, just so the shysters in the Prem can save some face. But that's it. Naive? Maybe, but we'll see.

To be fair to me (which I know is a long shot as this is Bluemoon), I would never in a million years come into this thread and say anything with such certainty unless I had it from the horse's mouth so to speak. I sort of regret posting it already, but equally if someone else in my position had posted it, I'd be grateful to know.
Billy is legit ……..

At the end of the day, City have maintained their position throughout. The transfers, stadium expansions, Haaland contract and so on are just part of every day. No reason for us to stop.

Whilst Pannick may have given his expert judgement on how it went, nobody knows until its done. If it was done, we would know about it. City haven't just shown the ruling to Haaland and got his team to sign up on the back of it.

If the shit hits the fan, I am sure Haalands contract has more than a few break clauses in it.

Tbf to the guy, nobody can prove anything because it's all been heard second or third hand. We should all just take it that way.

Of course, it would be better to say "I've heard the club stopped co-operating" rather than "the club stopped co-operating" and "I've heard the club doesn't have the judgment yet" rather than "the club doesn't have the judgment yet". But we are where we are with social media these days.

Personally, I think the most interesting thing we have heard recently is the shift in opinion from @slbsn from (paraphrasing) "we will hear the liability judgment and then wait for any sanction" to this: "I'd say the only outstanding question on this is whether we get the liability decision released before any sanction hearing (if any) and if so whether it has any redaction of note. There is a chance that the reasoned decisions are both held back to be released upon the conclusion of the sanction decision. I think this is what the FA did in the recent Nottingham Forest case."

If that is right, and it makes sense to me, we all still have a very long wait.
So effectively no one knows fuck all ? If thats the case I was correct that the poster I responded to is telling porkies and his so called "source" knows the same as the rest of us, fuck all about any rights or wrongs of the hearing.

I can’t wait for the verdict to drop..
Am going to miss this thread, it's been both a blast and a pain in the arse.
I find the best way to deal with it is to read a selection, say 10%, and pass over the rest. Very quick.
Apologies to rags, Russian sympathisers, Trump loyalists, and others whose posts I haven’t read.

Cityzens: Zens who live in the city.
Denyzens: People who claim zens do not exist.
Horyzens: Gnarled and Hairy people who live far far away.
Hornyzens are from different genetic pool , the ones who are always sexually active all the time .

According to this pic on Stefan's Football Insider ''Exclusive' - the guy on the right seems to be looking happier than our lads

I think Khaldoon is sitting in his control room on one screen he has the press release ready to go and on another his has this thread up just waiting and watching ready to click the send button when it reaches 9999 posts

He probably has other screens where he trolls people on x by putting up random videos and another to direct special forces to take out anyone who uses watercress in anything but egg butties
Don't forget Khaldoon has winning form in big legal battles, he's the CEO of Mubadala Investments and he battered Real Madrid over the slight matter of £400m quid....

I think, logically, Pep's comments about a timeline, Haaland's contract, @tolmie's hairdoo revealing our potential summer targets are being reassured stem from the clubs/lawyers professional opinions on how the hearing went; Pep's timeline probably more a general opinion from them much like how @slbsn has experience or knowledge of similar proceedings and can estimate how they usually pan out.

Which again, if we all trust the club in the first place then there's no reason to doubt that as of now they're acting in the best and most professional manner having seen the case play out in front of them.

If the panel find us guilty, Khaldoon and the Board SHOULD be sacked.

Depends on whether it was considered to be a kangaroo court by the people concerned - who still maintain their innocence. After all, it’s not beyond belief that the PL could be bent & exert their influence in some way. Ask Blatter & Platini.

See the UEFA commission who ruled that City were guilty and whose ruling was then overturned by CAS

If we don't trust the impartiality of the process then the decision doesn't matter either way. No different from the "they're guilty even if found innocent" crowd. This is why the panel is independent

The charges as read are incredibly serious. They indicate knowingly cheating and committing fraud of the worst kind. If we are found guilty of those charges, I don't just expect us to be relegated but I'd support the move too. And the Board would have to leave and be banned as Directors.

These are really bad things they've been accused of. Potentially criminal. They couldn't stay here on a guilty verdict.

I agree but unfortunately I DON’T trust the PL. They have got so much to lose & we know already that they have always treated different teams in different ways.
I just hope that the panel are brave enough to look at everything in a fair & impartial way. I just have a nagging doubt because in football- regrettably - £££££££ talks
