Season Tickets - 2024/25

Nothing wrong with the concept of Flexi Gold just the way the club has implemented it.
Correct. All the issues people rightly complain about in the way it has been implemented could easily be resolved. The problem is that the club has seen it as a money-making exercise, rather than as a solution to the problem of no-shows.

I think the Club were onto something that this was more a product for getting more young families into the game on a regular basis. I don’t think it addresses no-shows.

It was initially proposed at City Matters as a solution to no-shows after the club proposed a series of potential ridiculous and unworkable alternatives.

Typically they managed to turn the basis of a decent proposal into something equally ridiculous and unworkable.

Yes I agree with most of this Colin but my point is really about added value. A benefit of flexi-golds (that needs to be embedded in the season card regime if f-gs go) is the Club put a fair amount of effort into locating a parent with their kids. Families also don't have to take "ownership" of tickets for for games they don't want to go to, maybe midweek winter nights.

Contrast that with an adult on their own or with a mate who may want to go to every home. Flexi-golds become the Sinclair C5's of season cards for them. There was probably market for them somewhere if targeted (eg travel across huge factories / plants but not as a rush hour vehicle). They are unlikely to reduce no shows and the set up fees guarantee unpopularity.

It's not a dig at the people buying them, the club should convert them all.
I've got one, they offered me it because they shamelessly got rid of everyone doing the programming. Some were doing it for many decades.,otherwise I'd have simply stopped going after 40 odd years

If prices aren't being increased, I expect the announcement to come on Tuesday or Wednesday to dampen the planned protest at Leicester game.
If we don't hear before Leicester game, prices are going up I would think.
