Atmosphere 2024/25

I don’t really know what to do but seems to me Arsenal’s ultra group has majorly improved their atmosphere, I’m not saying go full ultra out but would keeping a few flags out during the game be a good idea?
Also I think maybe a microphone to get the chants going could coordinate them better, just ideas, again I’m not sure
Yeah we tried to get 'more' classics and anthems going on Weds. It's good that songs like the ones you mentioned got more people involved.

There is a lot of time to sing a lot of different songs though. It's all about timing.

I reckon if we start off with songs like Bluemoon (which we did as fans took to their seats on the 10th min the other day), that gets the crowd going. Then you can alternate between away day/longer songs and classics because the tone has been set.

A few posters have rightfully pointed out that it doesn't engage the wider fanbase if we sing longer clappy songs from the off for 15 minutes. The rest of the ground is tuned out by that point and don't engage as well.

There are literally hundreds of different people all trying to start off their own songs, so it's hard to properly orchestrated what takes off and what doesn't. The solution to that is to go full blown Ultra knob head and have someone stood at the front dictating what we sing... not something I'd particularly enjoy seeing at City.

Nobody joins in with that little chunk of Ricky Gervais fancy dress group at Arsenal. They drum away with their own little ditties while the rest of the ground join in with the other end of the ground singing all the Arsenal staple chants.

People are genuinely afraid to chant anything now unless their words are misrepresented and they get a pat on their shoulder.

Some on here were deeply upset that something was sung about Jamie Vardys wife , to circumvent that they would have to come up with a ditty remarking on her terrible dress sense.

The message over the years from our club has very much been "SIT THE FUCK DOWN".

And people wonder why there is no atmosphere in some games.

Hopefully it will be a good away end today.

Honest opinions after the match please.
Was very good last year. Usually much better than Anfield in terms of more locals being able to get tickets but we’ll see.

Thought that was one of our better OT away ends today, not quite as good as last year, but given how flat the game was it was pretty good.

Stretford end was wank
From within the away end I thought our support was great, but a mate said it didn’t come over that well on the telly? I thought their support was shocking

Weird as the first half was louder than the second.
You mean from within the away end? I thought it was great in volume and quantity, definitely also thought first half atmosphere was better than second. Couldn’t hear the rags. Also is it true they didn’t sell out and had to reduce ticket prices? Crowd announced at 73k, I thought capacity was 75k?

Yeah from within the away end it was decent. Better first half, much louder than their end. Literally the first song I heard was on 30 minutes, when they were singing about Foden’s mum. You’re right about the tickets not selling out at £66 but they’re fighting the same fight that we are with that.
