Yeah I agree with that, Mourinho would be proud of him for this performance.I think he is getting more and more negative and his approach to games has been far too cautious.

Really don't see how he'd be able to fall short of CL places in May, take maybe a week off then immediately start working with the squad as it evolves in preparation of the Club World Cup. On the other hand, that's a shit situation to put a new manager into.I genuinely think if he fails to make top 5 he will walk.
The more I think about that Club World Cup the more I think it's going to ruin next seasons preparations.
We need a rebuild and a pre-season to bed in new tactics and systems of play, and the entire set of players who are set to stay need a month off away from each other.
Well tbf Leicester isn't the best example, they are absolute dogshite, but I agree he constantly reverts to his 30 plus year old favourites for no good reason. The team probably performed the best this season vs Leicester. So it was something to ignore and come back with brain fart starting Bernardo, Phil, KdB, Kovacic again.
Pep is too deep in his minds. I want to believe he can do the best again.
Look mate, if you want to say why you disagree just say it.I've read some shite on these boards but this in here is topping the lot.
Fuck.
Me.
They dont have a logical rebuttal, thats why they result to insults.Look mate, if you want to say why you disagree just say it.
He’s scared. Has no balls. The balls he spoke of that John stones has he lacks now
When it comes to sentimentality Pep has never really had to discard his own players/signings before and this is new territory for him.
At Barca and Bayern he left before he was in this position.
Just think how ruthless he was with Hart, Sergio, Yaya (although he was way past it) plus Zabba, Kompany, Sterling etc.
I think/hope he has learned his lesson because as great as some of these players have been, it’s obviously one season too many for 3 or 4 of them (realise he didn’t sign De Bruyne but the rumoursu were he asked for him when he knew he was coming to City.
Ok then.Look mate, if you want to say why you disagree just say it.
It is about pep this year, not pep all time. My grandma used to make the best roast potatoes but she's dead now so doesn't. Things do change.I've read some shite on these boards but this in here is topping the lot.
Fuck.
Me.
Thats my point !None of those were his signings though. That's why he was able to be ruthless with those players.
Most of the points you mentioned - Pep is the cause of.Ok then.
Not one of you slagging pep off have took the following things into consideration.
Out of form.
Injuries.
Old players.
Young players.
New signings bedding in.
Team has had a drop off in form and intensity.
Team has ran out of gas after being at it tor the past 4 years which included a treble and 4 in a row and players playing 60 plus games a season.
Nothing last forever. The team is at the end of its cycle. The team and the club will be in transition with Txiki and players leaving.
Everyone has gone in two footed on Pep.
Not his fault, it's almost gone full circle to the first day he walked through the door where the squad was the same as it is today.
Needs a rebuild.
Quite simple really.
I agree I think the divorce understandably has had a major impact on Pep and it has unfortunately resulted in him not performing at his best this season . He has plenty of credit in the bank and I think he will still be at City next season.I think the split with his wife has really affected Pep, his eyes and body language give it away as he looks a troubled soul. I think the best thing for his mental health is to walk away and try and patch up his marriage and take a well earned break from football.
He's a proud man and I think the only reason for him to extend his contract was to try and blot out his private life but he needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and decide to do what's best for him. I don't think he has the focus and energy to take us forward next season tbh. I wish him well whatever he decides to do.
Who would you replace him with? Most of the points you mentioned - Pep is the cause of.
Ok mate, I'm not going two footed on him, I don't want him sacked and I haven't given up on him, I'm just saying he's been very poor this season, and yes I've taken into account all the things you've mentioned and I've said multiple times here that it still doesn't excuse where we're at, it's totally understandable to have a drop off after the recent seasons, and I have no problem with not challenging for the title this season, but this drop off is way too big and this squad is still good enough imo to qualify comfortably for the CL and it's on him that we're struggling to qualify for it, and I've mentioned all the things that I belive he's gotten wrong here many times.Ok then.
