Absolutely. We need upfront transparency on pricing. The Villa game, on a Tuesday night just before a trip to Wembley. is seemingly priced as a Category A game, which is ridiculous. If you have a 3-category system then they're Category B.
I don't particularly like category pricing but at least everyone knows what the match categories and associated prices are going to be when the categories are published before the upcoming season.
But we need to look at the whole pricing structure, which is completely ridiculous. Our cheapest ticket for that Villa game is higher than the most expensive at Anfield for any game. And it's 70% higher than Arsenal's lowest price for a Category B game against Villa. The club has taken advantage of demand, based on our consistent successes under Pep but that's opportunism, not a strategy. Because when the success runs out, as it has this season, opportunism doesn't work and we're left with a mess like this.
I'd also like to see a clear linkage between season ticket prices and matchday prices, so that if you buy 19 matchday tickets, those will be 10%/15%/20%, or an absolute amount, more than the equivalent season ticket.
