Indeed. That’s happened a few times, one year it was a 12% rise.

It had to be done, I was quite pleased watching it later on TV and pictures how noticeably empty the south stand, where I was, looked until we entered. Point made.

I didn't protest but I did already say I would be willing to pay more for my season ticket if it lowered match day ticket prices.
I have always said match day prices are fucking scandalous and they are pricing out our local fan base especially younger fans and parents with kids.
I couldn't and wouldn't pay £60 plus for a league game regardless of whom we are playing..I go to watch City so the opposition don't really matter.
I'm happy that the protest seems to have had some effect but in my opinion it's the match day prices that need to be reduced especially for family tickets and younger fans.

Don’t think any Premier league club gives a shit about “ legacy” fans , the only thing they desire is money .
 
Regardless, I won’t be renewing my season ticket. Love the team but fuck the club at this point. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Thats really good. Although its implicit in the demand to reduce matchday tickets, I think we are missing a trick if there are not explicit demands around kids tickets and the age group 18-say 25. We cant afford to lose any of that fanbase if we are to ensure a loyal core fanbase for the future.

£10 for a child
£20 for a young adult

Irrespective of the game would be a good starting position.

Sorry, I’ve just read it doesn’t necessarily end, but it is being reviewed in 2025 (when I don’t know). It came in, in 2016-17 and was reviewed in 2022 and agreed to keep the £30 cap then. With a 2025 review to come.

This is absolutely true. Even after the Leicester protest the club originally came to the table at the meeting with City Matters last night with an initial proposal of a 2.8% average increase.

Un-fucking-believable.
