That's has to be the correct approach. The Kane/ Bellingham/ Rice saga has led to what we see in the pitch right now. All 3 are world class players- generational when it comes to Kane yet we somehow failed to read the room. 2 of these 3 in the time right now and we may be on route to a 5th consecutive title.

Some reports suggest Bayern has been talking to his father for the last 4-5 years! That some groundwork and commitment and that's difficult to overcome.
Ask him if he wants to come and if the answer is anything less than 101% lets our scout do our job. In this football crazy world, don't tell me we don't have some Wirtz copy somewhere in France or Brazil or Cameroon that we can invest early on.

Won't be coming unless we secure CL for starters. What ever happens I hope it is settled quickly and we are not arsing about in August with this one.

I think with the run in with have and the momentum from KDB’s last games we will finish in the top 5. I actually have us finishing 3rd.

I think it’s a bold move to be the next big German superstar and leave the country rejecting Bayern on the way out. We know with Sane their international influence.

I think Leverkusen would rather sell to us and because of that and the fact he’s incredible the high fee means we are favourites. Bayern will only get him if they can work something out to subsidise the fee. Sure they are a huge club, huge commercial deals etc. but they aren’t dropping €150 on Wirtz otherwise like we potentially have in England because of Grealish they’ll have to do it every time a new German player comes a long which is a huge part of their success.

I think there is still a big chance he stays at Leverkusen. Signs a new contract, maybe with a release clause, but stays there in the lead up to the World Cup.

We then have to work out what to do long term if he stays. Like Haaland do we wait a year if we know/we think we can get him. Then it would have made sense to give KDB another year. Meaning we’d have to sign an alternative or have Foden in the middle as our main guy. That was probably always the plan to some degree but after this year would we risk that?
 
Musiala plays the same position I just don’t see him there unless they put Musiala to the left side.. and imagine being Musiala and being moved into a different position for another guy. Munich is forcing it. Musiala was the far better one on the wings between the too so far that Wirtz even got benched. He is a pure 10, won’t last long on the left or right dude even with some sort of freedom
 
Who was the player that his dad favoured a move to another club and it turned out to be a disaster,hardly played and regretted the move be careful what your told,and go with your own instincts..
 
It’s always bloody Bayern for any top German player. Get in early and offer him a huge deal, then if he doesn’t jump at the chance to come here then move on, as he’ll be off to Bayern.

And I say that as someone who would love us to sign Wirtz.
