Players who might improve us

Tonali is caught up in a betting scandal again so you can rule that one out for good.
Agree. As much as personally I have no issues with this and hope he’s doing well etc.

City with everything that’s happened with players and the club itself in the news will not go near him.

Folks dont appreciate how good our players are. :)
There's definitely an element of that. I think too that when things aren't going well, fans hone in on individual players' deficiencies rather than the larger structural issues that are usually the root cause of poor performances. And of course, sometimes those larger issues serve to magnify a player's shortcomings

All that being said, Tonali is a good player with a great engine, but I don't think he would be transformative to our side

eh, i remember here was a post that he is a total muppet and a really bad person
Did something once and people claimed him to be a bad person. Thats the average spectrum here. Same with cherki who hasn’t done anything bad for at least 2 years but people still come up with it.

Difference between baena to cherki and Wirtz is that be is actually a left midfielder in a 4-4-2. don’t know if he is really a 10. seems to occupy the left side and in a similar way Grealish did in villa. Should be the 3rd option honestly. But him + one of the first two would make us very creative again

Wirtz coming in as the KDB successor. Baena slotting in as the Grealish replacement. Reijnders taking over the Gundo/Kova role. Those three additions as part of our attack—combined with our existing attacking options—would make us an absolutely terrifying prospect for any opponent. The balance, the creativity, the technical quality… we’d be cooking on all fronts. Too much attacking depth and too much sauce!

Mikkel Damsgaard(24) - Brentford - Midfielder

- 2 goals
- 10 assists(only Salah and Yamal have more in top 5 leagues)
- 7th most chances created in league
- 42/79 take ons - 53% success rate which is actually better than most that attempt a lot, Palmer has same amount 42/96 but a 43% success rate for example.
- Also puts defensive shift in(72 tackles + 23 interceptions) which are 2nd + 6th most amongst midfielders in the league.

Good all-rounder which is what we'll need if Bernie leaves.

Whoever decided not to sign him last summer should be sacked.

This is the one that frustrates me the most—it genuinely gets under my skin. Out of all the situations we've discussed, this one feels the most avoidable, the most maddening. It’s not just disappointing, it’s infuriating.

Some posters in here actually had the nerve to say he wasn’t City level, that he wasn’t good enough—just another overrated Benfica product! And now, look at him. Flourishing. Dominating. Proving exactly why some of us were banging the drum early on.

PSG was a great move for him. I wonder if he would have wanted to come here as the competition is more and wouldn’t be guaranteed the minutes
Is the competition really more? When I look at PSG they clearly have the better midfield. It’s just pep wouldn’t trust him most likely and play someone else instead „ need 1 year to get the system“ which is a farce in my eyes anyways .
