He has that goalscoring knack that can't be taught. Arriving in the right place or being well positioned. An attribute that means we wouldn't miss Erling as much when he's out. An attribute that got Sterling 131 goals for us.
Was also heavily involved in goals Marmoush and O'Reillys goals.
He deserves to start again vs Everton, will be questionable if Pep makes any changes to the midfield or forward line tbh.
I like that instinct...

I simply do not understand how to get rid of a player that is this involved in so many goals related moments.

Players with very good mental processing aren't very common. The more of those you have the better your team will be. Maca is one of those, if we can, i want us to keep him. Or at the very minimum, include a buyback clause wherever we sell him to.

I would hazard a guess this lad will leave and start scoring boat loads..

Not in the PL he won't and I say that as someone that believes in him.

He could be like Sancho.. amazing in the Bundesliga but just average in the PL.

Not everyone is KDB/ Erling.. and the Bundesliga gives much more room than the constant park the bus and no space that City get in the PL.

You can even say the same for Liam Delap.. would he get his goals if he were playing for City?? Nope he wouldn't be given that kinda room.

Assuming he wants to stay and isnt asking to leave, we dont need to be forcing out a homegrown, still youngish player who has a knack for goals

Listening to Pep part of the embargoed press conference the player wants regular football which is totally understandable and with only one year left in his deal he will be off.

Let's hope he is part of the Wirtz deal, great move for all parties!

Typical performance from him today. Seemed not to be involved but had a couple of great chances to score which he did not take. I still think we should persevere with him.

He’s not good enough for us. He reminds me of someone like Brennan Johnson…doesn’t really do anything but then pops up with a goal. That’s fine if you’re banging in 25 goals a season but he’s never going to be that prolific.

Yeah that is not happening especially given who ruthless the club is planning to be this summer!
If he is used as a makeweight for Wirtz then I would be ok with him leaving. If he just goes for £30M and rips it up for a team like Villa or Brighton I will be disappointed. I think the club might let him decide whether he stays or leaves.

A tough call in whether we should keep him for next season. Was a little unfortunate with his effort but at times doesn't look good enough to play more meaningful minutes unlike Nico O'Reilly. We do still need to keep depth.

I'm a fan and want him to stay, but I don't know what was up with him today. In the first half, he fell on the ground after a bit of miscontrol, which fell to Villa, and it took him about five seconds to get up to his feet.

That said, he was more involved than KDB, Gundo, and a lesser extent Bernie...

Great ability to find himself in dangerous areas, not much else except that one good free kick delivery, the only way he's going to stay is if he gets more goals, can't afford to miss chances like the one from Nico's great low cross.

At least he attacked the front post. That’s something you rarely see these days.

Yes he's got natural scoring instincts, needs to improve his overrall game or score a bunch of goals to stay.

The way some of you talk about him you'd think he's a prepubescent, him and doku are the same age and O'reilly is 2 years younger, he's a year younger thank Gvardiol. I know doku is frustrating but he's shown moments of quality and potential. O'reilly has literally changed and wons us games. This guys scored against salford and even in that game was invisible other than the goals. Not good enough, I'm sure he's a nice guy though its not personal

Reminds me a bit of Ferran Torres, found the goal often, but for our game not the one we need. Don’t see him to make it for us over years if he don’t splash out with more brilliance.
