The TV Quiz Show Thread

Two plebs on Tipping Point.
Q. Which of the 4 patron saints of the UK shares the name with a disciple of Jesus.

Contestant went round the UK and said “David, Patrick, James and George. I’ll go with David.”
Her opponent agreed…….
Both amazed when Andrew popped up as the answer!

Fantastic end to The Chase.
The Dark Destroyer wiped them all out and the 4 chose a young 20 year old to go up in the final and got 11.
You’d have thought that was the end of the game but the Chaser went to pieces and the contestant got 4 push backs and won the team £1,000 each.
Brilliant performance by the young woman
Dark destroyer is the weakest of the bunch.

St Andrew patron saint for Scotland was the disciple of Jesus rather than merely sharing a name, so it was an erroneous question.

It’s been a while since you’ve been nit picking at every post I make. This is the 2nd today. Welcome back, I’ve missed you x
Maybe i just wrote the question down slightly different to how it was presented.
Either way, pedantry at its finest.

About time you Yanks mastered English, then you could go on a quiz show yourself.

If I ever go on one, don’t worry, you’ll all be the first to hear about it.
If you like pub quizzes there is a gameshow called Eggheads which is like a pub quiz consisting of two teams of a bunch of friends vs a team of the UK's best quizers.

Might be worth looking into
