Two parties at war for 4/5 seasons. The huge impact it could have for any team in the league never mind city’s entire existence as a club.

The league never stood a chance on this issue. The 115 grew too big. If anything it showed how big the club became.

A nice arranged joint statement from the league/club putting it all to bed would be my guess in the summer.

Both parties know what needs to be done now. A brutal exit is not going to benefit anyone. If it’s not watertight the league will be up to its neck in legal battles for eternity.

Nothing to see here… is the line I’m going for. I just hope city find a way to make sure we get a statement that clears us properly and financial commercial deals will not be challenged in the future.

There is a part of me that is nervous about this. We are obviously awaiting the outcome of 115 and we have all been guessing but I refer back to some of those emails and the content in them.

its certainly gone on longer than all of us thought, yes it makes me wonder, i think if the PL had us bang to rights there would without question either be a leak or some kind of statement by now, is it possible that maybe we have fallen foul of something but not as bad as the PL would have wished for and before going public there on a face saving mission and are having talks with the club on an amicable outcome for both parties,it would be in the PLs favor to dress things up before going public if things have not gone to good for them, City wouldnt have that luxury as an option were either Innocent, Guilty or Partial guilty

IMHO I reckon if we would have been bang to rights the giddy fuck Masters and his cronies would have been unable to contain themselves, this I believe will be a slow retreat carefully back from the minefield they themselves laid.

Influencing/grifters would have been all over it.

well rumor had it we turned a deal down before the case came before the hearing, im not sure thats true 'it may well be true' on the basis it is we certainly wouldnt deal now after the event, i agree that if it was bad news for us then it would be out by now and the vultures would be circling, maybe we would take a pinch esp if something was boarderline on innocent or guilty and by that i mean a small fine, we may never know the true outcome and what deals have been made if any, if we dont go after them after all this we can assume a deal has been done to put it to bed

Apparently if the 3 clubs who went down last season go back up (Leeds and Burnley already promoted with Sheff U in the play offs) it will save the PL £120m in parachute payments. That’s more or less the PLs legal fees for the last couple of seasons.

Not sure Daniel Levy thinks like that.

He’ll take the money saved for parachute payments, but it would have no impact on reducing how pissed off he will be able paying legal costs for a failed ‘prosecution’ against City.

our owners may have the same idea as you, 'it cant be put to bed', what could be happening is the PL are delaying in vain while they attempt to deal with the club who wont want to deal.

You'd have thought they'd have phased out the parachute payments by now and told the clubs in the PL to put relegation clauses into all players contracts.
