Well worth a likeUpdate on my post from 7 days ago about the ammunition explosion
Aftermath
Ever wonder how effective Ukraine’s aid really is? One homemade drone just wiped out more Russian shells than the US and EU produce together in a year.
On 22 April, Ukraine’s $1 million Palianytsia drone flew 700 km (435 miles) to torch Russia’s 51st Arsenal — igniting 264,000 tons of ammunition in a blast NASA satellites caught from space. Even 70 km from Moscow, Russia’s air defenses failed to stop it.
This wasn’t just a strike — it shattered Russia’s entire summer offensive. With previous arsenal hits already halving Russia’s firepower, blowing up their biggest stockpile now forces Moscow into a brutal choice: delay assaults or attack without artillery cover — either way, a disaster in the making.
And beyond battlefield headlines? The real victory is human. Artillery causes 70% of Ukraine’s casualties. At roughly one casualty per 100 shells, destroying 6 million could spare 60,000 lives — soldiers and civilians alike.
Blackmail, I’d love to know who thought up this mineral thing, Trump wouldn’t have a clue they even existed, who is behind it all, it’s got to be some backers but who? Nothing was ever mentioned under Biden about any of this, I hope once Trump has gone the next sensible administration rips this agreement up.US and Ukraine sign minerals deal
An update to bring you now on the minerals deal between the US and Ukraine which we told you was expected to be signed today.
We've just heard from the US Treasury, which has confirmed than an agreement has been signed with Ukraine.
While specific details still remain unclear, it said the agreement establishes a US-Ukraine reconstruction investment fund.
The Treasury said the agreement signals to Russia that the Trump administration is committed to a peace process centred on a free, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine.
It's a long-awaited agreement and it had been expected Volodymyr Zelenskyy would sign it when he visited the White House in February.
But that meeting ended in the now infamous Oval Office row involving the Ukrainian president, Trump and JD Vance, with Zelenskyy leaving without signing the agreement.

It’s in the US arms manufacturers to be able to flog weapons etc to the Ukrainians. They’ve got the Gaza thing too, they must be making a mint. For the deal to bear fruit, there has to be a free Ukraine to honour the deal. No Ukraine, the deal is void. So, it is (presumably) now in US interest to pump arms and aid into Ukraine, because if they don’t this minerals deal is a waste of everyone’s time and it’s only function from Ukraine’s perspective was to keep the US from walking away altogether.
The details will be key to see who is playing who here.
Very decent.https://themilitaryanalyst.com/2025/04/30/what-next-for-ukraine/
A decent read only a few minutes long.
Yes as all in Eastern Europe will do well to remember. It appears that most countries are doing the right thing in standing up for what is right, the US on the other hand appears to be doing something that they can profit from. Exactly the same as lend lease. Not a trustworthy ally.
Unless Putin is pulling Trumps strings and agreed with the dealwell now the US has an interest in minerals the russians can hardly snatch it away, so it may well work in favor for Ukraine
