Yes, it's the fault of the guy who's won 12 league titles in 16 seasons, not the fault of the old players who can't fucking run anymore.
Agree, but the club needs to insist on moving on those old players with gratitude for some amazing sessions, so that Pep can't pick them in the team anymore.

Shit performance. Pep is too sentimental with KDB and bernardo (I hope that is because Bernardo is gone). If they are gone (especially Bernardo who is the most non-threatening player in a loonng time), we will be back.

If that’s the case then he needs to go because it’s his job to move these players in and if he can’t if won’t do that then he should retire and go into the night a legend as we are that far off the top it’s crazy .

The same people that said every lineup we picked for the games we ended up winning was disastrous, are now saying the lineup for this game we didn't win was disastrous... forgive me if I don't take your word for it. The players on that pitch were more than good enough to perform and simply didn't do it.
We only managed to beat Everton and Villa thanks to late goals and you can't rely on them consistently, I said it before I understood being conservative in those games but not today against this shower of shite, and no we've seen it time and time again that some of the players that started the game aren't good enough anymore.

It is the fault of the guy who keeps picking the old players game after game. How in the hell is Marmoush only coming onto the pitch after 85 minutes with the form he's been in? How are Foden, Bernardo and de Bruyne even starting with the form they've been in all season?

We should've been putting one of the worst PL teams in history to the sword and we gave them a clean sheet!
He isn't picking them game after game, he's literally been picking the new and young guys for weeks and we've been winning every game.

Today was a fuck up, but that doesn't mean he needs sacking. Unless you're thick, which is the case for many in this thread.

Unfortunately he'll replace Bernardo with someone who scores just as rarely but without the workrate.

Spending weeks and weeks calling everyone on the thread thick is about as sure a sign of a lack of intelligence as you can get.

When Pep finally retires I hope the memoirs he's promising will give us a true insight to what's going on this season.

I'm not one of these Pep out merchants. He deserves a free pass for everything he's ever done for us and when he leaves some fans who are kicking off now will want him back.

Yeah because the game was really stretched wasn't it with 90% of the match played in an area no bigger than a 7-a-side pitch.

Pep has literally said numerous times this season, in his opinion the players run too much and that's been the main problem, you're claiming here that the problem is players not running enough and blaming the players for that instead of pep when pep is demanding they run less. I'll let you work out the problem with your claim...

The game was played in that small space because that's how we set up to counter the fact that we can't run.

When the games are stretched we're torn apart every time we lose the ball.

Not sure about your 'gotcha' claim here.

Pep is not infallible.

Those saying we cant blame the manager who won us loads of trophies are in the wrong here.

He even admitted himself he has been poor this season.

And he was yet again poor today.

Nobody is saying he's infallible or that today wasn't poor, it's the idea that he no longer knows what he's doing that's stupid. Or that he's somehow past his best.

Hugo Viana hopefully watching these games and finds it just as boring and not good enough as it looks. have certainly more faith i him now than Txiki who allowed our levels drop as a DoF for some reason.

If Pep is still here next season then it will be much the same. Same tactics, same patterns of play, same slow boring tempo. Will be with plenty of new faces but those will soon be coached into Pep's idea of how the game should be played. At the moment if Pep played a roulette he'd have £500 on black and red and hope it doesn't come up 0.

You're right but there's a proven thing that's also right..

Change the players or change the manager.

It's clearly not on the manager.. the hunger is still there.

But we can't keep hoping KDB, Ilkay, Bernardo, Foden, Stones, etc will keep on coming up with the goods.

Just look at Sterling, Jesus.. they were young.. but it was time to let them go.

He’s not past his best he’s just stubborn he has his philosophy and that’s how he sees football.

Problem is football moves quickly, we need to evolve, teams have sussed out our possession tactics and play.
