It's a job, that's all. An extremely well-paid one, with many perks and an elevated profile that puts you on a par with being a famous actor or rock star, but it's still a job. He played for the dippers, he provided a service of which he was more than handsomely rewarded, but the club doesn't own his soul. And those dipper fans who booed him have inadvertently lifted the somewhat flimsy disguise of them being 'good old scousers, with their cheeky grin, ready wit and heart of gold.'
People who didn't know previously now see them for the thoroughly unpleasant, narrow-minded bigots the rest of us have always known.

Personally I never rated him, I always thought he was a poor defender with an eye for a pass, but that is just my own view. He was a good servant for the club these heathens have pledged their support to, he got stuck in and did the job to his level best for the club. But for all his effort, all his sweat, and his dogged determination to serve his boyhood club, he is painted as a Judas simply because he left to join another club. A club who ply their trade far away from the plastic, over-populated bubble that is the Premier league, a club who will -in reality- seldom play against the team he has left.

Fans have a right to express an opinion, even an offensive opinion, but I am very disappointed that Slot has not spoken out in support of TAA. All he has to say is he would hope that come the trophy presentation it would be nice if Liverpool fans could salute and thank the player for his efforts at the club,
Haven't you noticed their managers never criticise the fans? They don't want to be next in line

Most footy fans when you get them alone are usually alright

For a good while now, the TV pundits and whatnot have been disproportionately Liverpool and United players. The main stars at Sky are Nev and Carra. Keane is usually knocking about. Even match of the day they used to have Hansen, Lawrenson and co. Scholesy used to do a fair bit. Rooney pops up a lot more now, I'm sure the list goes on.

I think the disproportionate representation on TV from ex players of certain clubs who are naturally gonna be partisan make people think all footy fans are like that.
Wasn't it you calling that pissed up bully sir Alex the other day?

What i dont get is why are fans, mgrs, the press scared of a bunch of workshy, nasal wankers who were succesful in the 80s and had a tragedy in the 90s, so theyre vocal? So fucking what, if every scouser all of a sudden stopped buying ur product u wouldnt go bust, if every scouser stopped watching sky it wouldnt go off air, what is the hold they have?

Their fans pride themselves on being a so called 'special club' and this entitlement is shown by 'this means more' and ' imagine being us' bollocks. But the so called best fans in the world showed their true colours yesterday with the embarrassing boos of TAA. I bet Alexander Arnold can't wait to leave now and who can blame him.
TAA is that far up his own backside, he probably thought they were booing the other sub that came on. Never forget, he sees things others don’t see, unless he’s called Vicinius Jnr.

He never really said owt though. The only thing he said, in an interview which might have even been in-house at Liverpool, was that the team he was playing in at Liverpool was the best in terms of team spirit and togetherness he’d ever played in. He never even mentioned City, didn’t reference owt about us.

It was all about Liverpool fans booing Sterling and us doing something back. We pretty much made up (like we have in the past about Sané sulking as well) that he said something about City.

One of the few things I’ve felt was pathetic about us over the years.

There was no need to boo Milner (or Sturridge, or Distin, or Dickov, or Barton).
From memory, it was a build up of numerous issues that turned a lot City fans against Milner.
From saying he was going to the red dips for trophies, and more playing time in midfield, and running his contract down.
Then there was previous non-celebrations against his previous clubs while at city, which changed when he left.
Final turning point for most was League Cup Final c2016, where he was down to take the last penalty in the shoot out.
Many questioned why he put himself in that position - potentially scoring the winning penalty against us.

Mental isn't it? Even their ex players saying the majority of the crowd booed him, then they backtrack and say it was 50/50 and then they have to emphasise that some of the crowd clapped. Like they're worried about how the fanbase will react with them. It was clear as day it was most of those there ffs. Then they say they were 'SURPRISED' by the reaction. Hahaha. From a fanbase that;

Sings 'Lizzie's in a box'

Boos the national anthem

Has IRA sympathies

Trashes opponents buses

Disfigures children and don't attempt to find/offer up the culprits

Responsible for the deaths of those at Heysel

Held a trophy parade on the anniversary of Heysel whilst repeatedly telling us about Hillsborough

Threaten one of their best ever players and his family to stop them moving to Chelsea. Burning his shirt etc.

The list goes on and on.

I wasn't in the least bit surprised and I'm sure plenty of the country that are more in the know weren't either. Vile club.

Good to hear cundy on talkshite last night calling out dipperpool fans and the hypocrisy and delusion of the fan base...

It's their strange ability to mobilise and sustain a threatening campaign of outrage at the drop of a hat and which they can then sustain for years until they get what they want whether it be an apology from a politician, a pardon for a murderer, a critic to lose their livelihood or blame deflected onto their natural enemies, the police.

This thing does annoy me more than it should, because Ferdinand plainly is a ****, simply because I have seen absolutely nothing to suggest it’s true. If anyone can point me towards anything that suggests this particular allegation is true I’m more than happy to be corrected but it seems to be based entirely on speculation based on the fact that he was unquestionably a dog at previous points in the relationship, which surely isn’t sufficient evidence to point to the fact he did it when she was dying.

**** or no ****, it’s an awful hing to accuse anyone of without any apparent basis to do so.
