I’m in on him. Thought up to the bad pass he was excellent. Looks to have been consciously cutting out those daft passes. A little more work and he’ll be grand. Definitely worth keeping as a squad player back up
Thought Dias was kinda slow reacting too. Why did he turn so slowly?

Anyway, i hate when we play that kind of football sometimes. Nunu has ro do better.

Definitely a keeper at this point.

Matty Nunes is the least of our problems.

He's turned out to be a far better player than I thought he was when he arrived at City, and gives 100% every game.

Much better than many of the slackers we've been carrying this season.
Your turn around on Nunes has been a pleasure to observe.

So much so you've even given to him a nickname, Matty. He is damn near family now :)

Long may this love and his performances grow!

Agreed if that was Stones, Khush, Josko or Akanjii then they get to the ball first.

Pass was shit but focus and reaction from Dias was dire as well.

Nunes seems to lose concentration in games but I am beginning to appreciate his pace. This is a real asset. There was a moment in the 2nd half against Bournemouth that he sprinted back to cover a Bournemouth and he was eating up the ground. He looked like Kyle Walker at his best.

Clearly he is not at Kyle's level yet but he has seriously improved over the course of the season. Well done Nunes.

I think the more he plays the position the better he will get, I wonder if he sees it as a temporary thing though, he has a good future if he grabs it and makes it his own.

But 100% more useful in attack.

The thing is he might look a bit Duane Dibley but the improvement in a position he had no experience of suggests that he's a pretty coachable player. Getting the last 20% is probably harder than the first 80% but I like his attitude and many of his attributes and I think he's worth persisting with.

Is it factor if pep wont play him there anyway.
Yeah I don't think we'll ever see him play in the middle for us again, except potentially as in inverted full-back.

He was useful as a wide midfielder though, now maybe even more so with his full-back experience.

Seen much more aggression and physicality in his more recent outings, suggesting that he now appreciates that he has the heft to impose himself on others. The more perplexing thing is that it took the club until January to give him a crack at right-back, especially since many on here were calling last season for him to receive such an opportunity. The worrying thing, however, is had Walker remained, I don’t think he’d have even played there.

I think once he wins Peps trust fully at RB, Pep will play him all over.

A lot of the stuff he’s learning at RB will improve his midfield play.

I'm not so sure to be honest, playing in the wider areas you have both less options on the ball, so suits the 'less intelligent' player, less risk (you make a mistake and it often just ends up a throw-in) and you have to be less aware of whats going on around you because you can see most of it.

I also kind of agree with Pep about Nunes anyway, I don't think he's really good enough to play in midfield for us, our style of play just maximises his weaknesses and minimizes his strengths.

I think he’s really come to prove himself at fullback, he even had a good run on the wing for bit, was our top scorer and assister at the start of the season.

I like him, and I think he’ll only improve. He can be a good rotation player alongside a younger wingback in Wesley.

No point selling him. Team all seem to love him as well.

Improving, which is all you can ask for. Probably lucky we have more areas to deal with this summer than grabbing 2 RBs instead of 1.

nothing to change my mind, if we could improve on him in a deal. Do it. if we cant squad RB
