Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

A family member is 87. They have a concession season ticket but due to ill health can no longer attend games. Last season we contacted the club to see if it could be taken over by a family member who is 48 years old. We said that we realised we would have to pay more for the season ticket as a 48 year old would not qualify for a concession.

We were told that this was not possible and we were advised that we would have to apply for the ticket to be upgraded on a game to game basis. We are going to do the same this season knowing that at the end of the season our by then 88 year old season ticket holder will lose the season ticket as they have been unable to attend 10 games themselves even though the season ticket will have been used 19 times by the 48 year old.

It leaves a really bad taste in the mouth that the club can’t or won’t understand our situation and allow us to transfer the ticket and keep it in the family.

It’s no wonder fans feel disconnected.

Have you tried just going in on the season ticket without upgrading from a senior to an adult

You may not get stopped

I also think cases like this are what City Matters reps should be getting involved in to assist you and supporters club leaders

Have you contacted either

I saw a similar story involving a Utd fan and they got the MEN involved

Highlight the issue, embarrass the club

Does anyone know if away games and Wembley visits are included in the 16 games?

Again, open to interpretation (the different wordings from yesterday above) But given the fact it only states PL games as criteria for switching from flexi to gold in future, and nowhere else, I’d guess it’s ’All’ games including aways & Wembley. Aways are difficult to come by & only a few games get down to members, that should be rewarded. Wembley was very attainable, and probably attracted new ish match goers, many people on here believed the club should reward attendance for the semi, this does that

Someone that sits near me had to pass his Fathers ST down to his daughter when he passed away. They did remove the Ticket points though which annoyed him! So the girl got her grandfathers seat, upgraded to an adult but had to start at 0 points.

Including the 2 Wembley games I've got 10 in total this season but only 4 of those are PL games , so see if I get the option. Probably wouldn't be interested due to the buy in fee, though, even if I'm eligible.

But even though it's not the right option for me, well done to City Matters for getting movement on this issue.

You’ve probably spent the equivalent of a ST on those games pal (depending on location) and you can spread the upfront fee anyway by sticking it on a DD, think it’s £13pm and you get that back pro rata every time you buy a match ticket, One season on a flexi and you’re home & hosed

It's home PL games.

That’s a shame, I would’ve preferred all games, especially as the demographic for fa cup and league cup games is family & locally oriented. PL games, especially the bigger games can be a bit of a closed shop for some, given most tickets are sold in bulk before the season starts

There’s a complete lack of empathy or understanding from the club. It’s almost as if they think folk are profiteering from other peoples deaths.

I wonder where this attitude comes from.

Not sure I agree with that. No one wants to stick the boot in when you’re grieving but they don’t have to let you take over a deceased person’s ST. Some might argue even that’s not fair. But I personally think it’s fine.

But don’t really see much of an argument for inheriting their points as well.

Just had the renewal notice through for my lads FG ticket for next season.

It has a refund of £27 deducted from the £75 price.

Edit, just read the email

Junior FG reduced to £48, with opportunity to reclaim the full amount if 16 games attended.

Can't grumble at all tbh

The 16 game thing didn't make sense at first as it wasn't a full pence pro-rata, now with the discount a more sensible £3 a game back for U18 and £7.50 adults. That is why they decided on £48.

The Club can't win on this. They have kept the season card within the family. They get blamed if they don't support mass "points whoring"!

The strange thing is if the poster had said they wanted their relatives points ad they are a member of an OSC Branch, they would have got slaughtered on here.
