Have watched the game back with an eye on Jeremy. A lot of good some not so good.
What I have noticed is all his cock ups come when he goes inside especially as the game goes on and they start reading him but is best work is the odd time he goes outside.
Imo he needs a change of plan and go outside about 70:30 and develop a little dink left footed Cross. Shouldn't be that hard.Would transform him.
Would be a shame to give up on such a talent but needs to work on this can't have more of the same.

He should sometimes when he comes back on his right foot cross it with height to the back post never seen him do that! Nunes did it first time he played there and found Haaland! Don't know what we practice in training or they chat about but it ain't crossing the ball

It isn't hard to learn how to pass a ball and find another player inside the box when you have beaten a defender.

If Doku had an end product he would be a great winger. As it is, he's fast, skilful, but has no or very little end product, bar the odd good goal.

I remember reading that when Adama Traore was at Boro, they brought in Darren Campbell, the sprinter, to do acceleration coaching with players. He said Traore was essentially too fast and he should actually slow down to improve his end product. Clearly he never did do that as he never improved but still..

KDB is a special talent that can deliver a ball while running at pace, but it's also fair to say he wasn't going as fast as these either.

Point is, maybe he needs to use that acceleration to beat a man, but know how to slow it down slightly when he's about to pull the trigger. I think his timing is poor, Savinho too.

Right before that Fulham had an attack from his side which Ederson saved, and as it often happens Doku was nowhere near the defense. But the moment Ederson picked up the ball I thought ok get it to Doku because there is space now on the counter. And he delivered right then.

Doku's contributions are not always visible in the boxscore. But he creates the most out of any attacking player in each game he plays. The biggest chances City have are either directly or indirectly created by him whenever he plays. You can't fault Doku for not being able to pick out the perfect pass when the box is crowded.

Just because he looks like Ronaldinho when he has the ball doesn't mean he has the same vision or passing skill. When the opposition defends in numbers its often about just getting that little space to try to get the ball inside; because its so difficult to find even that space, its even harder to make the perfect pass which is needed in those circumstances.

He suffers from the same problem Haaland does, which is not playing a vertical game as a team. Pep ball being wrong for the two most dangerous attackers on this team is wild.

I’m afraid of giving up on players especially after Palmer. After he never scored a PL goal for us then went to score a bunch with Chelsea. I’m going to be patient but we deffo can’t rely on them rn

Might as well pass around him in the middle as on the wing.

Dembele was definitely better but yeah Doku needs more chances. Still creates the most and can only get better when getting more support + a faster game plan. If he played for Bilbao, Liverpool or whoever counter attacks we would cry for him to join us

I don't disagree that he can be frustrating to watch sometimes but suggesting he'll never learn end product and rewriting history that he only hit the ball into players legs in that game isn't fair.

It doesn't take 100 games after playing football for 20 yrs to learn an end product.

But to be positive I enjoyed how he dribbled past a player and kicked it against a defenders legs several times.
