Apologies in advance if the question has been asked many times before but what is the completion date for the stand and when will it become operational?
"if"?The rumour is January or February 2026. It might even be March? In time for the later and knockout stages of the CL, if City are still in it? I stand corrected on that.
Could it be a case of they got a good price for the equipment, so better to leave them on site now rather than pay a higher price later into the build programme???Yes agreed it is strange. The other thing I’m unsure about is how Sisk have been very efficient ( in my humble opinion) about the expedition ( order and delivery ) of materials as and when required excepting the electrical gear (air con and heat source pumps ) on the hotel roof ! Been there so far for about 4-5 months and no fitting ? Whilst I appreciate thi is a subcontractor issue , I’m sure Sisk will have paid for them as MOS ( material on site ) in monthly valuations. And even if they are only paid a per
agreed very wierd !! Can someone offer a reason as to why the M&E subcontractor has had all the aircon/ heat recovery equipment ( I’m guessing c£500k worth ) on the roof for about 5 months (without even unpackaging ) can’t be good for efficient cash flow as construction margins are very tight !:-(
If City make the knockout stages. We just scraped in this season. I'm sure City will."if"?

As the yellow pieces are all bespoke , I’m sure they will be “melted down” & re-purposed/ recycled :-)Wonder what they do with the temporary supports and other steels from the old roof once that’s out of the way?
only if real madrid in town ;)If City make the knockout stages. We just scraped in this season. I'm sure City will.
Hopefully if City make the QF and SF of the CL will see 2 full houses of 62,000, and the new North stand tier 2 creating a great atmosphere, along with SSL1, Blocks 111,110, 109, and the rest of the Etihad. :-)
Thanks spanishbob, I was playing about with the features of the new drone, it has 500° of gimbal movement so a full 360° is easily done once i worked out how to do it. The only thing is it is still doing 40mph when doing that so had to stop at the end as it was getting closer to the stadium. CheersLoved the barrel roll at the beginning of the clip. Suspect it wasn’t intentional. Anyway we can now see the old roof clear panels are going and the temporary supports being removed so shouldn’t be long for the temporary supports below the old stand going. What gets me is the tweaking of the final extension pieces with additional welding. Couldn’t they been done in house or is there something I’m missing?
