Yes, football clubs must always generate more work for the police. That wasn’t out of concern for anything other than retribution. I can understand people feeling like that but once the police were surrounding it and controlling the situation I would have hoped that the emergency services would be left to get on with their jobs and helped as much as possible. So simply the fact the car which wasn’t the only one was on the street is a failing of Merseyside police as either an organisation or an individual copper being fucking shite and incompetent. I wasn’t suggesting there’s a conspiracy. I was just confused when the police confirmed the driver was 53, why there were multiple videos of a clearly younger man driving the car.
But that mystery may have been solved. The suggestion now is that all those videos were of a police officer driving the vehicle away after the incident.
Although I’d have thought they’d stick it on a truck. But who knows?
