mmmm.I'm afraid that makes making basic mistakes in English downright tempting.
i don't think you did it on purpose.
if you did you are very clever.
it's by no means a basic mistake,
but using the same root word (make) side-by-side in a sentence could certainly be improved upon.
a skilled proofreader would suggest changing it simply for the beauty of comprehension.
exempli gratia...
"i'm afraid that making basic mistakes in english is now downright tempting."
she'll call round to help you pull your socks up.
