i don't think you did it on purpose.
if you did you are very clever.

it's by no means a basic mistake,
but using the same root word (make) side-by-side in a sentence could certainly be improved upon.

a skilled proofreader would suggest changing it simply for the beauty of comprehension.

exempli gratia...

Semantically clearly different from my example. First “…makes” in my example is causative, and might be paraphrased as “leads to a situation in which…” Second “making” — which is gerundive, incidentally — is “the carrying out of something”.
Oh and by the way your suggested modification is stylistic, i.e. not strictly on the level of grammar. I've never had any problem with the same verb, lexically, being used in juxtaposition in any of the thousands of essays I've marked, when there is a semantic distinction between the two occurrences.
(P.S. I do grammar policing for a living, or did for a very long time…)

Oh, incidentally, and all niceties of English usage apart, she can pull my socks any time she likes… (and yes, the omission is deliberate).

But she can keep the truncheon to herself…

forgive me if i suggest though that you make a touch more use of the simple paragraph/new line.
it looks prettier, less prosaic and it helps the reader :)

= a quick press of the enter key before
first "...makes"
and before
second "making"
would be lovelier to read.

postscript,
nobody uses the word juxtaposition in the real world.
it's a bit knobby, matey, it really is.

that said,
if you continue being thoroughly word-perfect your visit will be cancelled.
think on.
 
hope he keeps checking on Soriano keeping him on a shorter leash. missing out on Wirtz is a very bad start given he was the big target to replace KDB.
liked the "no vacation" part. work your ass off next few weeks message to to the management team.

The Chairman did not sell it to anyone as a good season that has ended.
How could you interpret it that he did?
He is now looking to the future, the CWC and next season, not dwelling on the past.
That is what we should all be doing.

Sounds a bit like this guy ...

"Makes" is causative and "Making" is gerundive, take both together and you get "'cause..dive", Cos He Dives is why everyone hates Mo Salah, hating Mo Salah is something everyone does except Bin Dippers, sorry but tonight you're going home with ... Dusty Bin.

Par for the course on here. It hasn’t gone the way some want, and so they slag off those who have brought the unthinkable.

Can ask in all seriousness. Did he say anything remotely exciting, or did he touch on any issues on and off the pitch that have effected the club, Pep, the players, and the fans this season, or was it just another PR Puff piece with little or no substance? Thanks.
