We have this. All to cut back on back office admin costs.Preferred suppliers list is nonsense.
To get certain work done we have to get a quote.
Pretty pointless as they are the only supplier we use. And they know it.
So I just accept the quote, raise an order and pay double what it’s worth!

The problem with the NHS is that it's so fragmented. It's really 6000-odd general practices, 200+ hospitals (trusts) and a load of regional layers up to the NHSE level. As much as buying power from the centre is promoted, the counter weight of local choice always flies in the face of itYet the NHS are one of, if not the largest single purchaser across Europe. It should be them driving the price, not the seller

Surely they write it up first to arrive at a decision?The ruling would of been decided then they have to write up probably 400 pages of it all which would take a month! So I guess he does know
Otherwise I fear they may find legal reasons to back up their gut decision.

Sorry I have no legal knowledge just seems they have presumably already discussed to arrive at a decision so let someone else write it up which saves time.

I thought Everton (who obviously need to be kept informed) are proof reading it but they are struggling with some of the legal speak and the words with more than two syllables.
