think the two young lads are their replacementsUnless Ake or Stones go in the other direction ? feel like it would be trading injury lists
I asked him over two hours ago to show us these "sources". He hasn't replied yet. Let's just say that I'm sceptical/cynical (you choose!) as to whether such sources exist. I've looked at the BBC and Sky sites, and had a look through social media. Nothing.Evidence of these sources?
What is nagging me is that Pep may continue with Gvardiol at Left back.Reis, Khusonov Gvardiol and Dias, Akanji - 5 centre backs and two (possibly 3) that can cover fullbacks
We need fullbacks -Walker (although returning) is finished and everyone knows it. Rico aint good enough, Nunes is a stop gap or at least a back up at best...and on the left we have no one other than Nico Oreilly and Ake - neither are fullbacks and Ake is injury prone.
Bah and Reis will be none factors, neither will be seenIf we sold all of Ake, Stones and Akanji then maybe.
Then we’d be looking at
New LB
Gvardiol
Branthwaite
Bah
Dias
Khusanov
Reis
New RB
Lewis
If it's a choice between Newcastle & Everton for Jack, especially with his wages, he would only go to Everton so he doesn't have to move houseEvidence of these sources?
I wonder if we could sweeten the deal by loaning them Stones for the last year of his contractthink the two young lads are their replacements

Ake and Stones -both amazing plyers but never available and need to be moved on...It such a pity with Stones especially as without the injuries he could/would have been viewed as probably one of the best centre halfs ever for England certainly.
Plus this Bah kid - no idea how good he is, whether he is even close to making a step up or what
they are interested according to Tolm. Bah as well, gotta have some admirers for a more defensive setup than ours right now i thinkI wonder if we could sweeten the deal by loaning them Stones for the last year of his contract

Bah would probably be a sale with a buy back optionthey are interested according to Tolm. Bah as well, gotta have some admirers for a more defensive setup than ours right now i think
I've seen it too. A couple Liverpool based aggregators on twitter. No idea where the original claims came from though.I asked him over two hours ago to show us these "sources". He hasn't replied yet. maybe but not yet, he'll do another loan minimumBah would probably be a sale with a buy back option
Bah is going no where.Bah would probably be a sale with a buy back option
Definitely not this season, but next summer, we've got Stones, Ake and Akanji all out of contract, and I can't imagine any of them getting a new one. It'll also put us in need of homegrown options. There's no guarantee that Khusanov and particularly Reis will make an impact by then.We have seven centre backs in our squad as it stands, two of whom could barely even get a spot on the bench after signing for us in January.
Nine, if you include Bah and Doyle coming back from their loans.
I just can’t see any way that we’ll be looking to add to our CB quota when we’ve got massive holes to address in the squad at FB, Midfield and potentially in Goal.
Makes no sense at all!

thats why we need a proper left back....if we aare looking at changing the system Gvardiol isnt good enough at left back going forward - dont get me wrong he is very good but he cant go on the outside and deliver crosses for instance....His defending at left back at times can be suspect....he doesnt look over his shoulder and the long ball in behind him is always on as well for opposing teams cause he tends to drift a bit too central at times(whether thats what Pep is asking him to do or because its natural)What is nagging me is that Pep may continue with Gvardiol at Left back.
Thought we were advanced talks for Alt Nouri? If so he would be a starter i think and Gvardiol first choice left sided CB. I think Branthwaite is left sided too so wouldn’t see this one happening. What is nagging me is that Pep may continue with Gvardiol at Left back.
