I love the lleyn Peninsula if you get the right weather, some beautiful & quiet beaches.Fuck me.
I'm doing a 3 day wander on the Llyn Penisula coastal walk next week.
The first night I know I can wild camp the second I'm not sure so I've looked at camp sites.
£45 for me and a tent. The robbing bastards. That used to be the price of a B&B not a bloke rocking up with his own accommodation.
Hike no further than the Ty Coch Inn in Morfa Neffyn. Stunning views from there on a sunny day and not too bad a pub either.Fuck me.

Been there many times. It's what started my love affair with the Pennisula. So much so we bought a caravan near Caernarfon, which is where I will set off from. I'm going to drive to Dinas Bach where I'm pitching the tent. Sadly to old to lug it all with me, so I'll walk towards Whistling Sands and beyond, return, sleep and then walk the other way.Hike no further than the Ty Coch Inn in Morfa Neffyn. Whistling sands takes me right back. Went there as a kid.Been there many times. It's what started my love affair with the Pennisula. I want to then spend a 2nd night somewhere on the coastal trail, wild camp ideally as I'm not paying £45 !
Yes. I’m in the mountains a lot. Good gear in my opinion.Has anyone bought any kit from Revolution Race?

Not sure how old you are but any over 60 has to be careful of ones muscle to fat percentage reducing.Anyone had " achilles tendonitis " ? ,I'm currently off work with it in both my feet,I had it 3 years ago in just one foot but it wasn't as bad as this . I'm putting it down to me starting hiking 18months- 2 years ago. I think I have overdone it personally, i walk to work and work on my feet 8 hrs per day every week etc and have done all my life. My doctor today said I' will recover but its time and I'm down for physiotherapy, had that 3 years ago and didn't really help.

About 2 months ago I was just doing my usual walking for about an hour when my Achilles went. My weight was fine, my fitness was great but a visit to a nutritionist at my local (Spanish) gym showed my muscle percentage was very low. A month of 30g per day of high quality protein powder and small amount of creatine over a month restored my strength and muscle percentage.
Obviously my Achilles was actually being under supported by my calves.
Still got the pain you describe and very similar to Plantar F. problem underfoot but hopefully recovery is now better supported.
Apologies if you are not of the age but I am and was totally unaware of the aging process interrupting my normally active lifestyle.
As an older person here in Spain I get comprehensive blood tests every 6 months with very few areas of concern.Hi
I ended up going back to work yesterday and I'm in a " phased return " for 2 weeks.
My feet, both of them still painful but just bored of being at home
I turned 60 this Feb and work in the nhs, Iv always had problems with me feet, had gout ( hereditary since my 30's ,had plantar 2 times and now have osteoarthritis in my feet through yesrs of not treating my gout properly, had achilles tendinitis 3 or 4 times now since 2022.
I walk every where, I'v never driven in my life.
Slim for my age but still have all these problems with my feet
Great gear at good pricesHas anyone bought any kit from Revolution Race?
You calling him a fat ****….Great gear at good prices
Only issue you might find the trousers slightly tighter fitting in general cut which I like and waist too
Actually probably the opposite Revolutionrace are a Swedish company given how tight their pants are I concluded many years ago that all Swedes must be Skinny Cu&tsYou calling him a fat ****….
Of to do Crib Goch this morning, done once before but couldn’t see more than 2 feet in front, was madness when I think about it!!
I strained my right achilles about 2 years ago. I exercise regularly but just overdid it. The only thing that worked for me were isometric exercises ie calf raises. It strengthens the tendon without stretching it. Took a long time, about 12 months, to get back to normal. I was able to exercise during that time though. I still do the calf raises on a daily basis as a preventative measure.Hi

I forget to mention in my post,I went for physiopherapy and did all those calf exercises, made my feet worse when they were just getting better, that was when I had it two years ago.I strained my right achilles about 2 years ago.
