PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Yes a civil war suggests half of the premier league are going to be unhappy with the verdict

Which considering most of the hateful 8 have lobbied against us for years would mean the result has not gone their way.
Which might also suggest why the panel are taking as long to write up their verdict.

The Premier League is a business worth billions with a worldwide audience and could be irreparably damaged if the panel publish their result indicating a witch hunt conducted by Masters on behalf of certain other clubs.

I imagine their wording would have to be strong enough to exonerate City but guarded enough to avoid any suspicion on Masters and the Cartel.

When that picture of John Henry, the Glazers et al is quite freely available and with the dippers and scum interviewing Masters before he got the job it might be difficult for the panel not to include the influence of those clubs in its decision making process.

How do you write up a decision that’s going to be scrutinised as closely as this will be, without damaging The Premier League in it’s current form?

Only 6 or 7 clubs including City are hugely invested in the outcome. The rest don’t care if you care to believe Kieran McGuire.

It will just tell everyone what we already know - that the PL is a ruthless corporate environment where all parties will undertake tactics some will find distasteful/immoral in the pursuit of a commercial advantage.

Let’s get it right - the Der Speigel emails prompted an investigation, charge and sanction by UEFA. Whether we like it or not, even if the 115 verdict report shows the red shirts and Levy strong armed Masters into investigating and charging city, it wouldn’t be very difficult for those clubs to justify their actions, to a largely willing audience, given the previous context.

This really wouldn’t cause any damage, never mind irreparable damage - other than for Masters who would inevitably have to go.

Other than that, the footballing world will move on.

I was wondering how many of those would still be against City in 2025 too. A reminder of the 9 clubs and whether I think they have the same sentiments.

Arsenal - Yes
Man Utd - Yes (though some would say, this is not a given)
Liverpool - Yes
Tottenham - Yes
Chelsea - Not sure
Leicester - Probably not
Newcastle - No
Burnley - Probably not
Wolves - Not sure.

The ‘winners’ not the ‘losers’
"As I and others have reported previously, the expectation at City has been 'spring', and if that's the case, we're there now... however it would also mean we could be waiting until late June!"People have been saying things like 'imminent', 'this week', and 'tomorrow' for ages now, and that shows most of us simply don't know - probably only a small number involved in the process do," he acknowledged

The media know what's going on but don't know everything that is going on
I would have thought you would have known how the media work, being a ex press secretary

Friday was a good day for announcements, with absolutely no knowledge if it’s ready today seems the perfect moment.

What about the clubs that didn’t want to go against us, if the result goes in our favour I would imagine they would be severely pissed off having to fork out for the bill because of the clubs listed above. I can see compo claims going in against the premier league.

Always made me laugh how they've got us for 115 charges, (and whatever else), but the FA haven't made just one of those charges stick. Laughable.
