Anyone else at the moment or do we have to wait for the verdict to drop?

I wouldn't put Chelsea's business activities in the same bucket as the rest. What they have done is perfectly legal and allowed transactions, it's not a sale to themselves it's a sale to the owners and basically asset stripping of the club. It's not sustainable and a massive gamble but they should have a right to sell club assets as they please. It should be noted that City and other clubs have also done similar transactions of assets. Chelsea also saw a gap in the PSR rules to do with player contract length which they doubled. Again, this was perfectly legal and in line with the rules. This rule has now changed so you can only split transfer fees over 4 to 5 years instead of 8-10. Was that rule change needed? absolutely not and it's probably another illegal rule the Premier League has forced through. This post sounds like a massive defense of Chelsea, it's not as I think they're fucked in the future. It is however a criticism of the PL and their ridiculous rules that are not fit for purpose and illegal in lots of parts.

I wonder why no one in the English media followed up this story then. When you consider how Everton, Leicester, and Forest, have been hammered, Newcastle have been blocked, and City have been targeted in a witchunt. And all this happening while Arsenal Directors were providing interest free loans with no questions asked. How stupid must other PL Club directors be to allow themselves to be manipulated by the Directors and owners of LFC, Arsenal, MUFC, and Spurs.

To be fair, you're not wrong.They both improved other people's music.

That said, Cocker was an interpretive artist (and a bloody great one). He improved music after the event, so to speak. There were others who did this too of course, my own favourite being Aretha.

Bowie didn't really do cover versions (although, most famously with Bing Crosby and Mick Jagger, he was fairly alright at that too). Unlike Cocker, he also made other people's music great in a collaborative way, working brilliantly with the likes of Lou Reed, as mentioned earlier.
I don't think Bowie was remotely unique in this, by the way. Clapton, Dylan, George Harrison, Prince all had (or still have) stellar careers and improved other people's music. Then, there's guys like TBone Burnett who has made just about everyone worth talking about better but has only achieved a middling level of fame.
Moral of the story: music is nothing if not a communal exercise/art form. (And thank God/ Corned beef/ whatever you're having yourself for that).
