The Labour Government

Well, if the latest poll is anything to go by, we are heading for an election result with no working majority. Long way to go admittedly. So many possible things to throw into the mixer, from a Left wing party being formed that picks up the thousands who have left "Labour" to the pressure that will place on "Labour" to move back to the Left, to the very real possibility of war, which will stop any chance of getting rid of Starmer. He is a very dangerous individual.

Regrettably no political part will ever work on behalf of the UK people if elected. Cynical maybe but true. Look at all the big scandals of the last 40 years or so and look at how the Govt regardless of party have responded or more importantly have failed to respond. The Tainted Blood Scandal, The Post Office Scandal, The Sexed Dossier on Iraq, The Grenfell Scandal, The HS2 shambles and today it has been announced that papers relating to the Chinook Helicopter Crash will not be released for 100 years. I could go one but it's too depressing. And please don't suggest voting for Reform as they cannot even get competent people to run a local Council.
This is very true. Add to that the mystery around our MPs unwavering servitude to the Zionist entity. To paraphrase Mrs Merton... What first attracted you......

AND Starmer shows some real progress on stopping both legal and illegal immigration, then it is a slam dunk that Farage will win the next GE. As an outside possibility he may have to form a coalition government with the Tories, but there's no way on earth he's partnering with Labour, is there.

And I give Starmer zero chance of turning things around. His successor, Raynor, less than zero.

No one cares, they just want Farage to have a go.

Interestingly,

Article 1 is due to the changes Sunak put in place.
Article 2 is government propaganda and largely represents people who voluntarily chose to return, they weren't "returned'.
Article 3 may have some truth in it, not sure
Article 4 won't reduce net migration at all. Just swapping 1 immigrant for another 1.

Score: 1 out of 4 at best.

And yes, people have had enough and just want someone else to have a go.

Are you Dax in disguise.

That's what I like to see, Labour seen to be doing something about illegal immigration. It takes the votes away from farage and tory extremists.

Unfortunately like I say no one cares, they still see Reform constantly banging on about migrants and boat crossings and think Labour are allowing Muslims to introduce Sharia Law etc , they are too entrenched in their hatred of anything left of Reform. Labour have been in power 10 months and made far more progress than the last 14 years of right wing Tories and get zero credit from any Reform voters- which shows them for what they are, racist cowards.

I think it's that sort of attitude that has contributed to Reform smashing the polls, tbh. e.g. calling everyone right wing thugs. I am likely going to vote Reform and am neither a racist nor a coward, thanks. Just someone who recognizes that the country is broken and Labour cannot EVER be the answer, unless complete oblivion is the objective. They will have everyone in the poor house if left to continue.

Does it never occur to you Labour voters that under the socialist and pseudo socialist shite governments we've had in the UK for the past 30 years, the UK's prosperity has fallen dramatically. 20 years ago the average American earned about the same as the average Brit. Today we earn less than 2/3rd of what they earn. Imagine if the UK average wage today was £40k not £27k. Just imagine how much more tax the government would be collecting to pay for public services. Imagine how much better off everyone would be.

And yet, STILL, you lot want to vote for poverty. I find it bizarre TBH that after all this time, decades of watching socialist economies do poorly, you STILL don't get it.

Just so I can understand where you're coming from, in what way do you think the Tory governments from 2010 onwards represented socialist or pseudo socialist government?

15 years of Tories smashing up the society that actually cares for people (schools, healthcare, etc) and now it’s all Labours fault . And Reform, who openly admit that they do not want to care for people, are now the answer?

You really cannot make up this shit up.

In my mind, there can only be one reason that Reform appeal to people, and it’s to all those who want to see a more ‘white’ outlook. And that’s been admitted to me personally from a Reform activist.

Whatever. There's none so blind as those who cannot see.

I agree to an extent but generations after the two World Wars cracked on with their lives and rebuilt our country, Covid is now 5 years ago, time to not use it as an excuse.
After both wars people had no choice but to crack on there was no NHS or benefits were at a minimum. We had state pension first but “no jobs” was behind the advent of unemployment benefit.
I don’t have the answers but I’m sure Covid has played a part in the current rise in people claiming benefits.

Cameron was about as wet as Tory goverments get, essentially just continuing with Blairite policies of open borders, high taxation, big goverment, woke ideology. Amplified by sharing power with the Libdems (FFS). People like Rory Stewart should have been nowhere near a Conservative government and yet was typical of the Tory front bench. He used to be a member of the Labour Party and clearly is chums with Alasdair Campbell. We haven't seen a "proper" right wing, low taxation, small government, high individual freedoms, less state interference government in 30 years.

Why 20 years? As far as I can see, average US and UK earnings were the same as recently as 2012.

I realise that you've clarified that Cameron was a socialist, but you might be better posting that on the Tory thread :)

You still havent told us which "real" Tories you want back in power-except Truss of course!

Oh and...

The average UK salary is around £37,430 per year, according to Forbes, while the median salary is around £34,963. However, these figures vary significantly based on factors like age, location, and industry.

Just checking you mean Thatcherism that people eventually rejected.
