The Labour Government

All main sectors of the economy growing.
No more NHS/Doctors strikes.
No train strikes.
Improvements to workers rights.

very early days, but a cracking start.

In name only.

Bill wont be enacted for 2 years and the corporates in the party are watering down the zero hour contract ban.

I don't mind that, not worth implementing and rushing big changes in so quickly. gives businesses preparation time themselves.

Businesses have had too much "preparation time" to take away employee rights for 14 years and continue to exploit workers without punishment.

If labour want to "make work pay" as they say, then businesses must be prepared to pay proper living wages with real workers protections over increasing profits/dividends for their stakeholders.

Probably not given it has nothing to do with Labour and they have no plan to introduce it.

Classic example of misinformation spreading and then being parroted.

There is a serious conversation to be had that when we all eventually move to electric cars (which we will) then we will have a huge hole in the budget where fuel duty used to be. That’s the purpose of this discussion which the NIC seem to want to initiate. But the idea that you would be paying this tax and tax on fuel is just wrong, the tax is a suggested replacement for fuel duty and it hasn’t come from the government.

To be fair I'd rather see more people using practical, cheap, sustainable public transport over seeing cunts in cars too big for our roads causing more problems than they solve.

Sadly we don't have such a good integrated public transport system because they are all run by private entities who are more concerned with fleecing their customers over and public duty to serve the population.

Why would businesses want to exploit employees like you state above. There is a lack of good employee's out there and has been for several years, businesses are doing everything they can to attract and keep staff.

I dont think you fully understand the situation. It's not all big bad employers and good employees.

Most decent employers are looking forward to new regulations, it’s the dodgy ones who are against them.

I can only speak from my perspective from the industries I've been in. They have all been profit driven with platitudes about looking after staff and not following through. Dismissing staff rather than supporting them.

It's comes across as a rarity when I see a business that believes in the obvious mantra of keeping your staff, supported and appreciated will increase productivity whilst bullying and gaslighting them won't.
