I was there for the Saturday gig. Same day as the Live8 concert. Every time the support acts changed they put the Live8 concert on the big screen and everyone booed!!

Cast and The Divine Comedy were supporting them and the Oasis gig got delayed as the front barrier broke causing a crush at the front

That was some gig, we got lucky and ended up with hospitality tickets, Citizens suite iirc. Happy days.
Haven’t got a ticket this time around

Oh god yeah I’ve seen the footage of that barrier break. Noel pointing at the staff saying “you’re gonna get the sack, you’re gonna get the sack…. You’re all gonna get the sack.”

Same philosophy he applied to drummers over the years :)

Me and the wife are there Saturday too. Wanted Friday but never managed to get tickets, staying in the city centre so can walk to the stadium, just not looking forward to the drive there or back.

Me and my Mrs went to this.
Was this the one where the barrier bust and noel was telling all the security they're getting the sack?
We had standing, was a great night.

No it wasn’t the infamous barrier night. Day before (or after, can’t remember!)
Bloody great gig though. Starkey was excellent on drums too.
