Problem I had with Shutter Island is that I had read the book before the film so I knew exactly what was going onProblem with Shawshank is that if you know the twist it ruins the film, a bit like Shutter Island great film but a watch only once IMHO.
There's wanting to be outrageous with an opinion and then there's this.Shawshank, the cinematic version of Coldplay.

I agree, can't remember the last film I watched that I really enjoyed,it's the same old shiteI think film writers haven’t got a clue , all films today are either remakes , horror films that don’t make any sense and action films which are so fucking unbelievable in the sense of how many they can kill in under 2 hours the latest being Ballerina.
My son has just got back from Oz. Has anyone got any Australia horror movies in the outback. Laid up for a bit so can watch some

Aww. That's sweet. Proof that no man is an island.I think his film takes are decent, I think.
I happen to agree with him.
I'm not having that. What makes it such a masterpiece is it's an immensely rewatchable movie. Pick any bit and I'm watching the next 20 minutes. On the roof? The tunnel? The new fish? All of it.Problem with Shawshank is that if you know the twist it ruins the film, a bit like Shutter Island great film but a watch only once IMHO.
