To be fair to @Prestwich_Blue, he didn't say he had heard from his source about a recruitment. He said that was his own interpretation. As you point out, any headhunting, using a recruitment agent or not, would probably be impossible to keep quiet. That doesn't invalidate what PB said he had heard, though.
 
Getting closer to a result will lead to friction within the fanbase. The majority of predictions that did or did not come to pass will be scrutinised to claim the upper hand.

The result does feel due any day now.

It’s going to be hard enough fighting off the loud mouth rags/dips in public and in the media without turning on each other. It serves no purpose apart from personal gratification.

Whether they admit it or not, a few posters on here have a vested interest in any result so they can write and speak about it on X and talksport to enhance their profile. So I understand the need to be right on the legal formalities. Getting it wrong now will put them up with Sam the erm inside man -:)

Yet again you misquote me. He can claim what he likes. But he's claimed far more than confidence.

I merely decided (mistakenly) to share something I know for sure which precludes that the theory that the decision has been out for months. It has not. Colin (and you) are free to believe whatever you like. For those that want absolute fact, I have supplied it. Again, they can believe it or not. But it is not unfair to say that if Colin is correct, he sits on a massive World exclusive.

PB further speculates that (in his opinion) the most probable reason for the collusion/delay is so that they (PL) can appoint Masters' successor.

Fair summary but I’d add that the lack of leaks in the first scenario is why some are sceptical about its veracity.
