Well, on the train home from Victoria. At least Lancs utter incompetence allowed us to get home before the Oasis crowd made it back from Heaton Park! That game was done once we started dropping the catches. You can't drop those in a Test Match. Let alone a T20!

Yeah, Salt at significant fault with that.
Was a great atmosphere down there wasn’t it, but right from the off Lancs were on the back foot. I’d like to say the toss was the difference, but it was probably that innings from Bairstow. (But yep, he was one of those dropped!).
Bairstow can still be devastating if you let him get going.

I'm currently in the middle of an 8 games in 9 days umpiring marathon for different leagues formats genders and age groups
Thursday was an interesting experience, umpiring a Derbyshire v South Yorkshire junior fixture at Buxton with Malcolm Wright who used to be a football league linesman from 1981-1993 and had officiated at a couple of City away games.
He was particularly complimentary about Keith Curle but he also told a story about the referee calling the Police at Highbury after Martin Edwards had stormed into their changing room following a United game at Arsenal

India's innings has stalled, let's hope the strangle pays off with a wicket - looks like they are waiting to give Bashir a bash.
Why we not keep taking the ball to the umpires saying it’s out of shape you got to keep on at them like India! We did it once yesterday then that was that take back to them! India would have not stopped doing it till it was changed!
Archer tried to change the ball after 7 balls today.
England have tried at least 3 times this first 45 mins.
I think this series the balls are so bad that we might actually see some change. People are pissed off, it makes a joke of the most popular sport in the world when the highest level of cricket can’t get balls good enough to play a test match with.

What do the rules say on this? Do you know?
The wickets we had repaired have been an absolute joke! We play Pakistan and after one test match game the told them to prepare an absolute full on spin pitch!
We seem to ask the opponents what pitch they like and prepare for them!
