Paqueta Charged By The FA.

The above is the timeline of the FA investigation, charges, and hearing coupled with City’s interest in him Seems that the investigation in Brazil was carried out on behalf of the FA by the Brazilian FA

It’s another example of how things take when the legal people get involved

Shambles, not arsed if he stays or goes now- he was out this world when he joined and fell off a cliff and been dreadful , can’t see him returning to form. Get rid.

Hardly a surprise with such a serious charge hanging over him.

He deserves the time and opportunity to get his head, and game right again.

Pleased for the lad. Felt very vindictive some of the leaks coming out such as he the fa wanted him banned for life etc. Thought that was widely inappropriate to air that.

He’s basically had the best years of his career fucked and probably won’t be the same ever again. Evil thing to have happened to him.

Had it been proven, he’d have likely got decent jail time.

Three cricketers got a couple of years for spot fixing.

Innocent until proven guilty. Always imo.

Eagerly awaiting all the “paid the FA off” comments on the socials.

I wonder how much they’d ask for him if we were still interested?

Just looked at the Regulatory Commission's findings, pretty damning for the FA - seems they were mostly making it up as they went along. They had to admit that almost none of the evidence they were relying on was impartial, such as their claim that his bookings were suspicious.

The Commission said:

"we do in any event consider the suggestion that the betting patterns, said by The FA to be the cornerstone of its case, emerge from a random passing of “hot tips” or perceived “inside information” within Brazil as the more
likely explanation."

Charges that he failed to co-operate were found to be proven and this is what the FA have written on their website:

"The Regulatory Commission will decide an appropriate sanction for the breaches of FA Rule F3 that were found proven..."

However, they are clutching at straws, as the Commision had this to say:

"...allied to matters such as The FA’s unwillingness to hear what the Player had to say once he had been provided with all the information from the first interview at the start of the second interview... any sanction imposed will be at the lower end of the scale.

Thinking of our case, is it fanciful to believe that the cunts at the PL and FA are equally incompetent?
