Because he is a winner and he realises he needs the likes of Archer and woakes fit and fresh for the new ball! Why won’t Stokes take a rest?
There is a tiny part of me that doesn't mind if India do somehow bat this out to a draw. Somehow it feels like this series deserves to have a decider. And if that statement doesn't bring on a clatter of wickets, nothing will....
Because none of the other bowlers look like taking wickets. None of them look as dangerous as Stokes.Ego. Wonderful player… massive ego
Just said the same. Then fuck me he gets Gill. Well done Jofra.Archer 80mph first ball! Archer Carse woakes moaning about the foot holes being soft can’t stand excuses you want hear that from Stokes!
Archer needs to ramp his pace up he has been 5mph slower this test match
Sobers is the greatest all-rounder of all time.Ben Stokes has now joined Sobers & Kallis as just the third player in Test history to score 7k runs & take 200 wickets.
Ian Beefy who? ;-)
Stokes has only played 12 more tests than Botham. It’s unlikely Beefy would have scored the 1800 runs he’d need to join the 7k club in those 12 games.Sobers is the greatest all-rounder of all time.
There a lot more test cricket played nowadays than there was in Botham's era.
Fair enough.Stokes has only played 12 more tests than Botham.
Botham was the better bowler. You’d have both in your side if you could!Fair enough.

The Sky commentary team are abysmal. From Gower, Holding, Bumble, Beefy and Willis, to this shower of shit. Ponting is easily the best and Athers offers insight. The rest are terrible. Is it just me or are the Sky Commentary team incredibly biased towards the Indians?

This is heading for a draw.
