Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

Is this just to transfer your ticket to a non member if you can't attend a match, or can you buy a ticket for a non member as well if you are a season ticket holder or a citizen card holder?

Why? Surely I can just forward the email?
It wouldn't surprise me if transferred tickets are no longer sent by email. The ticket may just appear in the recipient's account for them to move to their phone's wallet. Of course that could be circumvented by logging into that account on another device but there may well be restrictions in place in terms of how many different devices where that will be possible.
City don't appear to be messing about with this. Robust barriers seem to being put in place to ensure the game is played to their rules.
 
Excuse my ignorance, but am I right in saying that if I can’t go to a game, and in the past for example I’d let my son take his girlfriend and I’d just transfer my seat to him in the ticket account, I can no longer do this?
As a dad, you should be doing everything within your paternal powers to prohibit the attendance of the following:
Girlfriends
Wives
“Partners”
Variations of the above.
Your son, undoubtedly blinded by “young love” will thank you for it in the future.

We have 4 seats together, me, my lad and two mates. If one of us can’t make the game we’ve just emailed one of the others and they’ve brought a mate.
This now looks no longer possible.

When you transferred a ticket he would get the email from City with the add to Apple wallet and he’d just add mine to his phone as well as his and go in. That’s what I don’t get, he’s a season ticket holder and obviously we are strongly linked family and friends, I can’t do that any more?
No you can’t now. I wondered if that’s what you’d done. What a shame they make it so difficult.
 
Is this end of the transfer forum and the Facebook pages for home games?
Not necessarily the end but certainly makes things far more difficult in terms of who you can transfer to.

I’ve heard that the emails that were previously issued when transferring a ticket will no be sent therefore tickets will need to be downloaded direct from the account they have been transferred to. So won’t be as simple as just forwarding on an email like it was before.

So couldn't a friend just log into your account and download the ticket onto his phone?

If I understand this correctly you will have to give your phone to the recipient of the ticket.

It sucks and no doubt the Club will soon move to close that loophole.
