The "which famous person died today" thread

Quite weird watching him in his last year obviously knowing his time was up, seemed to have accepted it and just done as much as he could with dignity.
A lunatic in the best sense of the word. Always in trouble with the broadcasting authorities. Bit too right wing for my taste but a brilliant broadcaster.

It was torture ..watching them big clowns falling about ,before ,finally the football scores,and inevitably City has been smashed somewhere and duckie Davies,seemingly every week used to say
" Someone 4 City nil...and without big Joe Corrigan it could have been a lot worse "
At it's peak City were a very good side.

I clearly remember sitting at home, with my parents, watching the command module returning to Earth, hoping that the three astronauts were alive and well.
