Good point. Didn't Newcastle and Villa vote for some of the rules that ended up emasculating their future spending? Turkeys don't tend to vote for Xmas, but Newcastle and Villa perhaps could have voted differently in the past. I may be wrong however.Why aren't Newcastle, Villa etc not questioning why the red shirts can spend big money on players, but they can't? Definitely a combination of both!Is this mainly due holding on to players for a season or two longer than we have, leaving little resale value?
I feel as though we are entering into this season with our hands tied…….unable to completely revitalise the squad with younger, fitter players because there are not sufficient places due to the above.

PL PSR, as it is, is dead. It didn't do what it was set out to do, it's costing too much money and there are so many loopholes that haven't been closed that it is pointless. And nobody worries about UEFA PSR, the punishments are hardly a deterrent.

Correct. And of course none of their fans were bothered they voted for it because they were skint. Now they have rich owners and have come round to what we have said about it from the startNewcastle have Mike Ashley to thank for helping vote in PSR.
