The Labour Government

The reason I (and a large portion of the country) am voting for Reform is down to the fact that neither Labour, nor Conservatives have done a very good job and are totally pissed off with them.

That does not make one a Farage fanboy... but you guys keep on kidding yourselves and believing if it makes you feel better. The proof of the pudding.... you know the rest.
So you will be voting for reheated Thatcherism, Trussian economics, the destruction of the NHS and overt Nationalism.

Even the lying **** Johnson wasn't that bad

Didn’t Birmingham go bust? You know that one that is Labour run. You can’t really draw any conclusions from it, unless you are going to tell me the UK is about to go bust.
While the equal pay claim costs it hundreds of millions, Birmingham City Council was one of many that was starved of funds during 14 years of Austerity, when not a single penny was paid down on the National Debt - a wholly owned Conservative Party Production.

To give you an idea, Manchester was shortchanged by about £500 million. Other, Tory shires were given extra funding, but yeah, Labour-run councils.

I wouldn't bother renewing your discounted three-month Torygraph trial offer if I was you. It's rotting your brain.

Are labour and conservatives the only other 2 parties?

What will you do if reform get in and are just as bad?

Interesting that you criticise both austerity and the failure to reduce the level (in absolute terms) of public sector debt.

Given that the funding requirement was roughly 10% of GDP when the coalition came to power in 2010, over what sort of timeframe would you have targeted the necessary (much larger) reduction in the funding requirement, such that the level of debt would decline?

My post was in response to the notion that you can work out how a party will govern by looking at how their run their councils.

As you rightly point out why Birmingham went tits up is down to the council trying to be a bit smart coupled with the funding cuts and has no bearing on how Labour govern. Similarly various councillors over the years have landed in a spot of hot water for questionable morals etc, again no reflection on how a party will govern.

There are many ways to make a case against Farage being the next PM, it was a strange attack line to pick from a usually good poster.

The Labour mentality is akin to the scousers.... it is never their fault.

You’re happy to vote for a party that you know will wreck the nhs, is that right?

''anythings better than what we have''
''cant be any worse can it?''
''i dont like reform, labour and tories just need a kicking''
''release the hostages''

that's all his got.

In all sincerity I do not believe they will be much good in government
But you're going to vote for them anyway? They have 2 policies, immigration and no tax below £20k. Nothing else that is remotely credible and even both the first two are debatable.

Learn English and how to write... that said, what's to disagree with there... you just keep the killing going in Gaza

The current political main players are for want of a better word inadequate and not good enough.

I cannot see how any other party could do worse, they really are that bad and to deny is at best ignorance.

I don't like Reform, but sadly they are unlike Labour and the Tories untested.

Like I say, you keep the Gaza fire going and don't offer any solutions to stop it.

I suggest you try and grow up and stop calling people names - not that I really give a flying fuck what you think, but it may just strengthen your hand?

I am to Starmer what you are to Trump.... see, we have a difference of opinion.

The main difference here is Trump, whether we like him or not, gets things done... take for example Immigration - Trump has allegedly stopped unlawful Immigration on their land southern border, yet Starmer, whose been in power longer can't stop the gangs (nor the boats).. funny that isn't it?

Starmer is insignificant and evertime he appears on the screen he is the preverbial rabbit in headlights... admit it, the job is just too big for him!

Where is that in their manifesto? Or is it just your interpretation and opinion?

BTW the NHS is already fucked (courtesy of the Tories and Labour) and is not likely to last in it's current/existing state for too much longer.

You seem on the one hand to be anti privatisation, anti inequality, and generally reasonably fiscally progressive, is there not another party you can protest vote for? Or have I got your position wrong, not been on here all that much recently.

It might be struggling but it is certainly not fucked and improvements in waiting lists have already been realised.

Farage has said he would change the system to that similar in France.

My realistic options outside Labour and Tory are:-

Greens..... totally against their global warning environmental policies and the associated costs.
Liberals.... Who? completely ineffective and i'm not into their general policies.
Plaid Cymru Disaster, after an independent Wales (perish the thought)

I don't like everything Reform does, but if electing them helped Labour become true Labour and we nationalised the key industries and they addressed the real issues (immigration they might stand a chance.... but the Labour government we have right now is changing it's mind every five minutes and trying to say only what people want to hear... and they're making a right pigs ear of it... IMO.

Where do you go from here?

Latest figures show waiting ists have increased....

What's wrong with what they do in France? Years ago we were involved in a car accident in France and were blue lighted to hospital, service and care was exceptional. What do they do wrong or worse than we do in the UK?

I think he's pissed off with the state of the politicians we have nowadays. Doesn't matter which party. I might be wrong though.

We should all stop voting imo, send them a message that we want people managing the country.

IIRC it’s pay in France, receive your treatment and then claim some of it back
