Isn't Guehi off to Liverpool?Nico was great last year, but was the first time he’s ever been played in that position? Rico played RB in the youth teams.
I feel like Rico will play RB for longer and Nico is destined for CM minutes. Although a great option for cover, especially a 1 month competition.
I really can’t see us selling Akanji and Ake and not buying cover.
I can see us selling both and getting 1 in, a younger player with potential.
I’d bet on Guehi if I had to.
Last I read was a difference in price and open to doing it as a free as they still have Konate.Isn't Guehi off to Liverpool?

Can't see us buying Guehi tbh. He's arguably England's first choice CB these days (with Stones always injured) and he'd be risking that by coming to a club where he's not a guaranteed starter. I'd also be surprised if we got rid of Ake given his homegrown status. Also I don't think Ake is injury prone in the same way that Stones is. I'm still amazed Chelsea haven't tried to get Guehi. Despite all of their insane spending, their CB options are shit, and there's one of the best English defenders available relatively cheap.Last I read was a difference in price and open to doing it as a free as they still have Konate.

Maybe, but his HG status is invaluable and his ability to play left back is important too.There's a big chance if Ake is ready to go there. He is a fantastic lad but injury prone. Having him and Stones means we need 6 CBs to avoid an injury crisis.

A great player. Would be sorely missed if he left.
I feel like we’d rotate a lot between Stones and Khusanov. Stones to keep him fit, Khusanov to bed in. If a CB came in they’d definitely get a lot of minutes.

Ake has 10+ league starts in just 2 from the last 5 seasons. It's as bad as it seems.
He's a top bloke, though, and deserves all the love he gets. Be sad if he goes but it's arguably the most logical thing, given Stones's status and Akanji's versatility and availability.

Stones and Dias are our 2 but both have has injuries. Gvardiol 3rd. 4th Ake.

Also, Dias and Akanji were both overplayed due to injuries to Stones and Ake, which led to them having injury problems as well and losing form. A defence can cope with one injury prone player, but having two is a bit too much.

We need to lose non homegrown players though.Would prefer to sell Akanji over Ake if I'm honest - prob is we are desperate for people to leave and with Stones/Gundogan/Akanji possibly sitting tight on high wages we may have to lose people we don't really want to
I'd keep Nathan. He will get plenty of games with us, if he's fit...he's too good not too.

I have zero inside information but i'm going to say with 100% certainty, this is complete horseshit. What purpose would we have for losing a key HG player? Not only does that leave us short in defence, it doesnt even solve the squad issue, we'd still have to lose a foreign player plus Ortega yet it would shorten our squad size. We'd havr to be displaying peak United levels of incompetence to entertain this.
