Nathan Ake

Where have you seen this?

Stones isn't a slouch but Dias gets left behind as soon as anyone gets behind him and I'm yet to see anyone of our defenders keep up with Salah the way Ake has as well.

I've yet to see any of our defenders keep up with Salad, full stop!

The conditioners at the club know Stones is our quickest in regular testing and Dias, when he gets going, is also a runaway sideboard.

We won't be able to fill the bench at this rate lol... guessing Cucarella will get done before the start of the season but feel like we will need another defender for cover if we let Ake go. Can't let Zinny go now.
Of course no worries, that’s the plan.

I do wonder if the club will be happy with Walker/ Rodri or Phillips being seen as the 4th choice. I personally wouldn’t be too unhappy with that and letting Mbete have the League Cup games.

Obviously a risk but a smaller squad with younger players topping it up was the dream from the owners a few years ago wasn’t it?

I don’t think he goes without an adequate replacement coming in where as with Sterling I think they are happy to let Cole Palmer off his leash.

think it always depends on what we mean by pace. Is it the Sterling pace in terms of acceleration over the first 5 yds or the Walker pace over 50 yds. Dias is not particularly quick on the turn or acceleration, which can cause him issues, but suspect he will be once he gets going. Ake is probably quicker initially due to being smaller, but wouldn't fancy him chasing back from a high line

So you would fancy dias chasing back from a high line ?

Ake
Stones
Laporte
Dias

That is how I personally rank the cbs based on pace

More than likely Zin stays
