Russian invasion of Ukraine

It’s a good job this thread is here. Based on mainstream media coverage you’d think it’s only a matter of time before Russia win. The reality appears to be that Russia are throwing everything they can at it and getting not very far at all whilst suffering setbacks to their supply lines all the time. Surely it can’t be long before they collapse completely.
 
The factory of Flex, one of US’s biggest investments in Ukraine was attacked by Russians missiles last night. Extensive damage but no casualties due to evacuation. This factory is right up against the EU borders and drones violated Polish and Lithuanian airspace.
This is Putin’s direct challenge to Trump. No response from the orange arsehole.
Remember “If there is no ceasefire, there will be serious repercussions and sanctions against Russia”……… Then “ Putin is a smart guy and says there is no need for a ceasefire” Trump at his best!
Russian gov sources, including the foreign minister, say there will be no meeting between Putin and Zelinski, and no security guarantees without Russian involvement.
Well played Donald, your friend Putin played you for a sucker. Why are you silent? Why, because you are a stupid arse and a traitor. Meanwhile your troops are occupying US states that you don’t like and your DoJ is arresting/prosecuting your political enemies.

This is spot on. The Russian economy is fucked and Putin is trying overwhelming force (mainly drones) as a last resort. Hence the attack on the Flex factory. It will be a long slog but Ukraine will outlast Russia provided the allies provide enough support.
I recommend Joe Blogs on utube for economic appraisal and Meidas touch for Trump related news. Both have their faults but are basically sound.

wasn't there entire concept of the mineral deal that due to more American companies it made Ukraine safer.. the idea being Russia wouldn't hit US firms....

Maybe. I didn’t understand why Zelinski signed that deal.
 


Interesting theory that lots of social media chatter in Russia about a potential coup is probably Russia trying to bring out people thinking about it. ready for a purge....
