A review of the current City squad according to some on Bluemoon

Pretty much sums this place up.

It's been overtaken by miserable, pessimists and who think everyone and everything at the club is shit.

Even Pep, the best manager in the world, should be sacked according to them.

Try and be balanced and you're a happy clapper and not a 'realist' like they are.

And they're like this because they spit their dummy out because we didn't win 5 titles in a row last season.
Careful mate. One of them will be along shortly to tell you that's the whole point of the forum.

When a mere 'like' isn't enough.

I used to think I was a miserable pessimistic old bolliux till I came on this site but I can now confirm that I am an even more miserable pessimistic old bollix.
Victor Meldrew would fail an initiation test for this forum

The only reason Gvardiol and O’Reilly are fine is because they’re not playing. Once Gvardiol comes back he’ll be “slow, turns like a tanker, weak, one pass from disaster.” And O’Reilly will be “inexperienced, not ready, not a true defender, running around like a chicken with no head.”

According to this forum KDB wasn't worth his place in the team when Pep came. Rodri didnt know how to play football, in his first season. (I dont mind points of view but these were apparently issues that were blocking our success as a club. wtf)

I am pretty well learning how to block out those flappers and drama queens and the matchday thread is becoming bearable but new ones join and they're even worse. Its not toxic at least, twitter is toxic.

We need a 'hard' man as captain and leader, then we are sorted.
I think we need a few more hard men than just the one.

Going back over the years (I can do Joe mercer's team) that was full of hard men, both mentally and physically. Opponents all had one or two such players but apart from Leeds, Arsenal and Dipperpool who all had a squad full of such types, our team was just as tough both mentally and physically.

I think this is where we are going wrong and the signs were there last season. The hardened pro's like KDB have moved on and their replacements need time which just isn't available. Just think of some of the players we have had since we signed Vinny and Zabba. Tevez too. Yaya, Aguero, Fernandinho they were all hard and strong characters and didn't back out of the rough stuff.

Maybe the present squad will go on to prove me wrong, only time will tell but do we have this time now? Other teams have been getting better at working us out and I think that a hardened and experienced professional is a must-buy before the window closes.

Goalkeepers
Ederson - Past it, never saves anything, sell him
Ortega - Not a good back-up anymore, sell him
Trafford - Bag of nerves, drop him or sell him
Bettinelli - New guy

Defenders
Lewis - Never gonna be good enough, sell him
Akanji - Teacher's pet, slow, sell him
Nunes - Never gonna be good enough, drop him or sell him
Stones - Always injured, sell him
Dias - Past it, not been good for 18 months, sell him
Gvardiol - You're fine
Khusanov - Should be playing every single game
O'Reilly - Promising kid, you're fine
Ake - Always injured, sell him
Ait-Nouri - You're new, you're fine

Midfielders
Rodri - Coming back from injury, you're fine
Nico Gonzalez - Just another Javi Garcia, sell him
Kovacic - Old and slow, sell him
Bernardo - Old and slow and shouldn't be captain, sell him
Foden - Not been the same for 12 months, on thin ice
Cherki - Not strong enough, drop him
Reijnders - Not strong enough, but a new guy
Bobb - A kid
Savinho - Not good enough, sell him
Doku - Not good enough, sell him

Strikers
Haaland - Doesn't do anything if he's not scoring, take £100m and cut our losses
Marmoush - Not good enough, replace him with Rodrygo

So that's 26 players. According to this place, 16 of them need flogging and another handful need dropping. We then need to make a dozen new signings before the window shuts next week in order to have a chance at top four. And if we don't make those signings then the only acceptable team to field will be:

Bettinelli
Khusanov, Gvardiol, O'Reilly, Ait-Nouri
Foden, Reijnders, Cherki
Bobb.

Good luck with that approach guys. And see you next season!
I see what you did here: no Gündoğan because BM don’t even consider him a football player to start with. Well done.

That must have been after the Wolves game when everyone was feeling positive.

Some posters have to be undercover rival fans. Can think of at least 5 who id put my life on them being rags or dippers. Not saying eveyone has to be a happy clapper my dad bleeds blue blood has had a season ticket for over 40 years and Is an absolute miserable **** when it comes to city so there are blues out there who are very pessimistic but some of the shite on here has to be a wind up.
