The Labour Government

You forgot that after Jenrick acted unlawfully on rushing the Desmond deal, Desmond gave a donation to the Tory Party.

If I was as suspicious as @Chippy_boy I'd say that had been agreed beforehand.
Jenrick??? I had no idea she was involved with Ange's property deal. How interesting.

the 3 most divisive unpopular labour ministers who will be greet PR for these right wing agitators propoganda war are coopr, lammy and reeves

so keep one and promote the others, Starmer is playing all the wrong cards again, the daft twat

She doesn't need to claim beneficial interest, she may be deemed to have it. According to tax guidelines anyone with lifelong access to the property is deemed to have a beneficial interest.

Anyway, you said and I quote: "If he was over 18 she categorically would not have been in any trouble."

That statement is absolutely incorrect. "if he was over 18 she MAY NOT have been in any trouble" would be accurate.

It depends upon whether the HMRC determined that you have a beneficial interest in the property, and I suggest that someone declaring that (a) it is her main residence and (b) that she will be living there - even temporarily - to look after her son - would stuggle to get away with it.

SDLTM09815 - SDLT - higher rates for additional dwellings: interests treated as owned by an individual, trusts, children [including children subject to the Mental Health Acts]

Trusts

Where a dwelling is owned by another person subject to a trust which gives an individual a right to occupy the dwelling for life or the right to the income earned in respect of the dwelling, that individual is treated as owning the interest.

But either way, the reality is more nuanced than you seem willing to accept.
You didn't know any of these rules when you started accusing Rayner.

And in the bit in italics the individual is the beneficiary of the trust, not a trustee. It's the next bit that Rayner got wrong.

Hahahahaha. And still he tries to defend her. BRILLIANT! Watching the shit show that is Labour and it's loony supporters scambling around like headless chickens, has genuinely made my weekend. No, my year. It's BRILLIANT.
People who are ‘into’ politics are an odd bunch.
I can never get my head round how they have a party and its their party for life! Weird

I even showed you the text from HMRC but still you dig your heels in. Bizarre.

So your suggesting she has no right to visit the property she will be visiting every week. Fucking priceless mate, priceless.

Anyway this is not a hill I wish to die on. If you want to continue to make yourself look silly, carry on by all means. I'm out.

Ok I’m now wondering why are you commenting on this topic? As you clearly don’t even have a grasp of the most basic things around it. There is not a trust for her, it’s for her son ffs!

She doesn’t need a right to visit the property or even live there most of the time if she chooses, it’s her sons, why would she?! She also quite obviously wouldn’t want to have that as having a beneficial interest in the house would completely negate the point to putting it into trust in the first place.

You’re completely misunderstanding all of it.

I'm not battering my eyelids.....sounds painful.

One in Greater Manchester.....Brighton? Why that far away from her constituency?

It's all very confusing and doesn't look good for us who voted for her especially now Ashton is going from bad to worse.
Some of this is just obvious. You can't go back to a distant constituency every night from London. (Though Farage commuting from the US seems unremarkable.)

That's the joke of the whole thing. She hasn't. She's said her primary residence remains in Ashton, and I imagine she'll be there most weeks! If that isn't enough to convince people she was trying to fiddle her stamp duty, I have no idea what will.
Half her critics are moaning because she doesn't live in the constituency and the other half are moaning that she does.

Thats why they all have a gaff in london yeah? They get an allowance to rent a house in london

when was she planning in spending time in her constituency? To spend time with the very people who voted her in?
If shes not in london, is She in brighton? Or ashton?

Your defence of her is a little creepy

Good point. So she lied to the HoC about Ashton being her primary residence then. Thanks for pointing that out.
Stop it. Most MPs are in the constituency four nights out of seven and all when Parliament isn't in session.

You've lost reason because of your hate.

You have much patience:-)

Ha! I don’t have a problem with people posting whatever opinion they want about anything. When people post incorrect facts though and then try to double down on it, it really annoys me!

It’s not just that they don’t hold their hands up and just say “ok I don’t understand this”, it’s someone else might read it and think they’re saying something that’s correct and then there’s even more stupid people walking around than just the person posting!

Agreed on the last bit. I am undecided whether I will vote Reform, Advance UK or Tory at the next GE. Having supported conservative principles all my life, I've nevertheless slagged the Tories off on many ocassions. I know a shit show when I see one, and boy oh boy are we seeing one right now. David Lammy. I can't stop laughing.

If you want to go after the MPs who claim allowances even though they own places near London....

Rayner will now have to vacate the grace and favour flat, so might be making the late night commute to Brighton more than she does.

In any case, the Brighton flat is still the only property she actually owns and it was never her primary residence for any purpose which is why she pays double council tax on it.

I'm only defending against nonsense.

Glad it’s not just me seeing how stupid he is. Thought for a second he knew something we didn’t but in reality he’s fucking clueless. Whether he’s deliberately misinterpreting the guidance or is just thick is anyone’s guess. At least he’s enjoying himself.
