Wasn’t really wasted, was passing as we was coming back from knutsford and knew it was the only opportunity I would get all weekend

Where is the North Stand Atmosphere Expectations thread? I can't see one.

I have this vision of blue smoke, pyros, deafening noise, flags, banners, the whole stand bouncing, a 10000 strong Poznan, a blue wall, the Kippax reborn, A Curva Nord. Bedlam. Utter f**kin bedlam for 90 minutes. Opposition players shitting themselves. Away fans shifting nervously in their seats in awe. No tourists, none. An intimidating place, not for the faint hearted. If you don't like it, go and stand somewhere f**kin else. This is ours.

Isn't that the whole point? Lol

Or, at 60, am I out of touch with 21st Century match day experience expectations?

I was trying to play Devils Advocate once again.

As you say, it’s very short on detail and that’s being very kind.

But I’m not surprised, as I was told in person by a SISK employee on the viewing platform not to share details of what was discussed at the Open Doors event, and not to post any pictures of the North stand construction site from the viewing platform. Sigh!

Everything about the North stand redevelopment has been surrounded in secrecy bar what we’ve managed to find out, and by the pictures from us, and the drone videos from CP and SS.

It’s s pretty depressing and damning that City and SISK would go to such lengths to keep the North stand redevelopment under wraps and secret, when in reality City should be showcasing the North stand redevelopment to City fans around the world, bar the odd dated update on the OS.(arf!) Then again, we all know how the club owners and the people running the club work by now. We really shouldn’t be surprised.

Thankfully we’ve got enough City fans, CP and SS who are prepared to show City fans in the UK and around the world about the North stand redevelopment. We don’t need City or SISK to do that for us.

The primary objective of redeveloping the North stand has been about increasing match day revenues. When you have an office at the Etihad and elsewhere full of City employees involved in redeveloping the North stand, Populous Architects, etc, solely focused on increasing match day revenues, the subject of improving the match day atmosphere is secondary, if that?

Don't disagree, but you might be underestimating how much time that may involve. There would have to be meaningful benefit or PR gain to do that.

I do get your point though, perhaps Sisk themselves might have happily done that for their own exposure. Who knows.
