They want to win to prove they are good at their job.
They also did it for last seasons derby at the Etihad and it made fuck all differenceI'm pretty sure they did this for the last Maine Road derby and it worked a treat or have I just dreamt that?

im in the lower tier yeah 038 jn the north stand, got no idea tbh could be the tunnel clhb is in the way but idk. i just genuinely dont wanna be sat there. i was in ss3 against wolves and bournemouth, literally went home without a voice for the next 3 days… u think i can sneak in from the north stand to south?My 2 lads aren't as interested anymore if we only get North stand tickets, tourists with phones, away fans, school tours, silent blues. We're in SS3 tomorrow, up the back. Always great up there.
I’m in 107 or it’s now known as 007. If you can get around from the new stand works , the tunnel club might be in the way going west . Or you could get in early and get off the concourse and walk along the seats . Doing that when they’re full would be impossible plus stewards can be a problem asking to see ticket etc especially in a derby game . Season ticket in Kippax and then North stand, do you just jump on people for saying how they feel? you can’t walk past the tunnel club I don’t think going west …….south east near 110? Yeah might work if the stand works don’t block you or you walk along seats but watch for stewards clocking youBottom tier can you not walk all the way round? Not a fan at all of this desperation for the PA system to be turned off. All It does is creates pockets for fans to push their own song preference against another, you'll always get somebody trying to start their new/shit chant against the louder song currently being sung whilst another pocket are singing their favourite too. Then You get people in quieter areas who would be willing to sing unable to make out what song to join in with and so they just dont bother at all.
With the PA system on, they play Hey Jude or Bluemoon or whatever and the entire ground knows exactly what song to sing and when. Its a myth that turning it off somehow helps the atmosphere. There shouldnt be a problem with noise pre-match regardless tomorrow, unless there is another shit show trying to get into the bloody ground so it ultimately doesnt even matter.

It should be generalised to all home games, but I'm not holding my breath. Above all, at half-time, there should be some time for a moratorium — a five- to ten-minute period when your ear isn't suffering the decibel equivalent of a nuclear strike doesn't seem unreasonable. Imo....we need to adopt "Don't look back in anger" as OUR song.
It's lyrics are easy, it's rhythmic and atmospheric, it's by Manchesters most famous group and commemorates the arena bombing.
1894 should be introdcing /singing atmospheric song rather than "empty seats" City's going down" " Edin Dzeko"
